Bro I would not trust even the professional plastic wrap... The aluminium can easily seal the juices anyway.

You can actually also use butcher paper.

Plástico es plástico. Mejor es evitarlo
One of the "fun" things about industrial plastic wrap is that because its made to be used and discarded quickly, its stickier. And its stickier because it can have chemicals in it that storage-likely wrap can't. Yum.

Actually you really do not need that plastic anyway - get a bbq aluminum foil (thicker) or use double normal tinfoil and you can normally have those ribs in the oven for hours on low&slow cooking then finish with glaze
My dad does this when we go camping. Put your soup of choice into the plastic wrap, add a burger, throw that on the fire for a while and you have perfect soup and burger. Very yummy

Does he use grocery store plastic wrap?
If you're going to tell people they have to use very specific products that they won't find in the supermarket then maybe it would be smart to tell them where they can find it.

It will be different per country. Your best bet is to google “Professional grade” or “Catering grade” plastic wrap/cling film/etc.

You’d just get it at a restaurant supply store, in person or online. The box is HUGE though. I don’t even think I’d have anywhere to store it!
90 minutes for which temperature ?
these looks gross and depressing
Bro when you heat up plastic, even if it doesn't particularly melt you will still end up with plastic particles in your.
You guys make sherbet....i need the food science part
Sir that's a violation
Banana leaves or lotus leaves. No plastic or even foil.
This video makes me want to go watch Aaron Franklin make BBQ. I say that, being a Texas BBQ purist. While I value Frank’s opinion, I want real BBQ in this case.
No mention of temp in oven 90 minutes?
Parchment paper has the same effect.
plastic wrap will leech bad chemicals into the food. use a glass container with foil instead.
If yall arr concerned bout the plastic or aluminium, just replaxe it with parchement/baking paper

Uhh you should look into how they make that as well. 🥲
While I’m sure the poor man’s sou vide makes a super tender rib, I look for the barrel pit. If you’re not cooking my ribs in a barrel pit (pit barrel? You get it) with applewood or mesquite, I’ll order something else…

Okay but seriously what sort of plastic wrap doesn't "melt" or well shrink and disintegrate?
Why not just vacseal? So much easier

What’s that on his lip.
How about we try and not use plastic in the kitchen at all, especially to cook.
You don’t need this at all
Looks and sounds kinda gross. Make ribs when you have the time

Trusting plastic on any way wjile processing disqualifies you for being a somewhat called "cook".
Plastic is plastic, and plastic will melt

No… it won’t. Supermarket plastic wrap is designed to wrap cold foods to keep them fresh in the fridge or cupboard. Professional grade plastic wrap that we use in restaurants is designed with a broader set of uses in mind. This means our plastic wrap can along with other advantages, withstand much higher temperatures than your standard supermarket stuff.
