Hi what are the parameters of the ohms readings for the windings on a oven fan, what should the readings be between, so you know they are not faulty

Im looking for low readings or shorted or open really. But yes if you needed to do as you say you should check your manual or the manual for the motor for exact coil readings to check for out of range readings.

I'm trying to find out why my bush fan oven is not working so would you know if the thermal cut out or the fan motor is faulty with the readings I'm getting. When I test the thermal cut out I get resistance but the ohms are showing 0.000 then when I test the fan motor I'm only getting 0.141 ohms.

It looks like motor is shorted , are you sure its ohms and not Kohms 0.141 kohms would be 141ohms which is a ok

@@cagmito76 Thanks for replying. Yes it's k ohms and not ohms. It did show k ohms on the display but I didn't know what the k was so maybe I need to find the instructions and have a read. I've removed the fan and the shaft don't spin that freely and when you push the shaft in and out it feels dry so maybe the bearing have gone.

@@hardworker8030 Looks like it then , if thermal cut out is ok it could very well be sized bearing you could test at terminals for voltage but i would not recomment this without a very good multimeter.
