I'll never forget this game! And everyone talking about prime Ovechkin, but honestly ovechkin is a all around better player now. I'll admit prime Ovechkin was the most fun to watch. But the only difference now is he lost speed and his stick handling, but other than that boy still has it

Great question! Joe Beninati is one of the best in the business. I’ve enjoyed watching/hearing him so much over the years, and even still, today. Even before I really became a hardcore Caps fan, I loved his announcing style. Definitely one of a kind.

Last Capitals game I went to; I went up to Joe B and Locker. They were very gracious and they took the time to shake my hand during the broadcast. Not on-air or anything but CSN was live with coverage. Two of the nicest guys in the hockey world.

Yeah, I wish that was the case. They would have destroyed every team in their path en route to the Cup. I'm a Leafs fan and really enjoyed the WSH/TOR series and wish WSH had beat f'n PIT. With prime Ovie, the Caps would have. They were way better than PIT this year. The Pens' Cup win was meeehhh. They almost lost to OTT of all teams and then had a boring SCF against NSH.

Paul Grewal I'm a Pens fan and they have a better team anyway and 95% of the time, the President's Trophy winner doesn't win the Cup. As far as I'm concerned, Washington won't win a Cup with Ovechkin in the lineup....and Pittsburgh will 3-peat.

@@patrickbrinkmeier1858 but in his prime he was 105+ points scorer now he is 80-90+ point scorer. But he still scores 50+ goals in normal season last year he was even on pace to 60 goals so in goal scoring he is in his prime but this year he is not anymore and seems to be on decline at least compared to last year 60 goal pace.

NHL hockey does not sit well in Atlanta. ask the Flames. they like their football and basketball. i'm uncertain why the Braves left for other pastures of Georgia. anyway, 2 strikes against the city to host NHL teams. i say they are done. maybe an AHL franchise...? or, if the ECHL team is good enough then that is my guess how far hockey will go in the city.

cause teams win championships. Toews was nonexistent in the 2013 run (only 3 goals) and the Hawks still won. Not Ovi's fault his entire team provided zero support. It's not up to him to score every goal.
