that pass from backstrom on the last goal was just ridiculous. I can't think of a player who even has the confidence to make that pass through so much traffic.

Ehh, I feel like he has that mentality every year. The league is full of good talent, its just not easy to win a cup. He just happened to do it this year. I don't really believe in adding some weird "this is my year stuff." I'm not convinced it makes you any better than you already are.

I totally agree with you. That game winning goal turned the serie (it made sure the Caps would return home for game-5 in the worst case with the serie even at 2-2) and changed history forever.

Nor Crosby or any others. They can hype everybody else all the want. Nobody has the charisma, showmanship, excitement, or just straight up combo of skill, power, speed, and creativity of Ovie. He can and has shot all kinds of shots and scored.

My favorite ovi goals are when he goes into the net like a train and shoots through the defenders legs while they backpedal frantically. He blinds the goalie like that.It amazes me how he still puts the fear of god into elite defensemen when handling the puck.

Look at the 7th goal versus the Penguins; absolutely disgusting. it’s not a slap, wrist, or snapshot. He literally sweeps at the puck without winding up that much and it has the velocity of a slap shot. And because he got the shot off so quick in a weird motion look at the pucks trajectory… its slanted in the air but spinning perfectly. Even goalies around the league have said that his shots look like they curve at times.

Буре завершил карьеру в 33, Овечкин выиграл КС в 33 спустя 13 после приезда в НХЛ, Буре прирождённый голлеадор, супер-атлет с обложки компьютерной игры, всю жизнь на травмах, Овечкин же полная противоположность Буре, роднит их только голлеадорность)).

Овечкину 32. Спустя 13 лет после борьбы с дерьмовыми тренерами, за исключением пожалуй одного, и большинством таких же дерьмовых игроков, кроме Бэки, каким был клуб "Вашингтон Кэпиталс". Сейчас у Капиталс новый хороший тренер, хороший главный менеджер. Совсем другой клуб и другая команда, чем была 13 лет назад. Преимущество Овечкина перед Буре в том, что будучи капитаном, он все-таки привел клуб с плохой репутацией и без клубных достижений к кубку Стэнли, доказав, что он, действительно, лидер.

И еще - только Овечкин и до него Буре (в 90-е) сумели стать лучшими снайперами как в регулярном сезоне так и в ПО, в один год. До них это получалось лишь в 70-е, у Ги Лефлера. Даже Гретцки и Лемье не становились лучшими в регулярке и плэй-офф, в одном сезоне, ни разу. Как и никто в их время и после.

Sully 111 Wilson had so many secondary assist. Dude NEEDS TO ALWAYS BE ON THE FIRST LINE. He also disturbs 1st liners on other teams which made it so good this year

Начнем с того, что Овечкин с 20 лет играет в НХЛ, уже 13 сезонов. В период локаута в НХЛ 2012-2013 он приезжал в КХЛ и в 31 матче набрал 40 (19+21) очков.Отличный результат, притом что (как я считаю) Александр явно экономил силы для НХЛ

Ну вот осталось только ОИ выиграть, но вряд ли ему дадут. Хотя...;)
