My view is that "free speech" should not be invoked to justify "hate speech", where this is defined as actively promoting or endorsing harm to any group in society. So, for example, it is perfectly fine under free speech to claim that a trans woman is really just "a bloke in a dress". However, if you start saying that trans people should be beaten up or even killed, then that is hate speech and should be illegal.

He needs removed urgently due to the extreme fascism and absurdity. Common sense NOT nonsense should prevail!

I'm not sure that I agree with him, but, at any rate, he certainly wasn't promoting or endorsing harm to white people, so it wasn't hate speech. PS: If you think his speech was offensive to white people, then you have a bit of a dilemma. True, it might justify prosecuting Hunza under his own law, but that would require endorsing his new law! So, you might be able to get rid of Humza that way, but you would have to keep his new law!

Had an eye appointment checkup at Vision Express today. I had to fill out a questionnaire before I was examined. The first question was gender. Three options, male, female, other. What's that about? I assume I just committed a hate crime?

Does this mean that any TV programmes transmitted in Scotland will be liable to this inquisition, and script writers will liable to be charged.

It isn't only Scotland. The Western world is falling asleep while their rights are being eroded. While I agreed with some action, just think what happened with Covid and how easily the public slipped into line for that. It is bad enough not being able to say the truth in public let alone in your own home.

This law is really aimed at islamophobes, ie people who are brave enough to tell the truth about Islam. The trans issue is just a smokescreen.
