They need to do either an AS3 or AS6 style finale. Give them a music video to lip sync in or have 3 separate lip syncs to judge. But Marina definitely won. I also think La Grand Dame won her lip sync too.

They need to change lip sync smack down for the crown. It doesn’t make any sense to have a last minute switch up. It’s a competition it should be judged for the entire competition at the end.

Marina's manager felt so offended that they posted her uncut, unedited full performance which Marina performed for an audience. There's a reason why the other queens gave her a standing ovation and was visibly shocked when she wasn't crowned the winner

Honestly the final lipsync against Hannah and Tia was so entertaining, enjoyable. They both were amazing and had great stories and I'm at peace with the outcome. 🙌🏻

I've had it, officially with this fandom blaming the queens for the production decisions. IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT!

The riggery on UKvsTW2 ruined it for everyone. Tia was undoubtedly a beloved queen before this shenanigan. What they did made a lot of people turn against her and she doesn't deserve that. The way they edited Marina to be the clear frontrunner only to undeservedly make her lose left a bad taste on the fandom's mouth. It cast a stain on Tia's win. As a fan of RPDR since season 3, I'm not fond of the idea of rigging the queen to lose so they can be on all-stars. It doesn't sit right with me. If a queen is on fire; Ru, let them shine! Give them the crown! Don't dampen their momentum. If you really want them back, bring them for an all-winner season! This whole thing is a mess.

Marina did "Im Outta Love" on her shows. She did a lot of stunts on those shows. That's why it's weird coz the camera will be on Marina when she's done on her stunts.

While Hannah didn't do much, it was enough to outweigh the over selling Marina did. It could've gone either way. But I really think Hannah won that lipsync fair

I was baffled by every single decision made on that very day they produced that episode. To me, Marina clearly won against Hannah with her little boot and scoot walking with a microphone schtick and La Grande Dame was miles ahead of Tia in their lip sync, in fact I think Tia gave one of the worst lip sync performances of the season. It was so clear that they were rigging it for Tia and I just don’t get why, in a Marina vs La Grande Dame lip sync I think Marina eats her up without problem and why would they not want to crown Marina? They propped her up the entire season as the frontrunner only to discard her in the finale, and for what? This finale ruined what was otherwise a very strong season and has permanently turned me off on UK vs The World since now I know that they will just rig it for a UK girl at the end regardless of what happens the entire season. It’s also just bad for Tia herself too as now she has to deal with the bullshit from the fandom and for the rest of her life be dubbed as an unworthy winner. The shenanigans, the tomfoolery and the riggory of it all.

It’s so disappointing… and you’re right, I thought this season would be one of my 10 faves across all franchises… 2 UK queens winning back to back… Both didn’t do that well in their own respective season and yet winning and beating some of the best of the best queens around the world. They should have done a final talent number for the finale to show more of what they could offer after winning the crown.

i feel bad for all top 4 queens bc no matter what, BBC would NEVER crown non UK queen, it was clear from the start. especially since they hadn’t had a single non white winner yet, tia was a perfect winner for them, on top of her doing well in the competition albeit being pushed a bit. it’s a lose lose situation for the top4 bc we all saw how marina quite literally bulldozing the competition and it’d fair to say, had it been a fair game she was a clear winner. now tia’s great run in the competition is stained by the push production gave her, when she didn’t need it, and she’ll get trixie-ed for “stealing” the crown.

I saw this too, but it technically isn't true. She was there for the girl group challenge, in which nymphia wore yellow (with the red pussycat look on the runway) TS also judged the following challenge: the doll design challenge with Law roach, for which Nymphia wore yellow. She only judged 3 challenges total and Nymphia wore yellow in all of them. I don't think she's in the wrong tbh

I was a Marina Summers stan, and i honestly thought she would take it. I felt a bit annoyed that Ru chose Hannah because her performance wasnt exactly the best. I did feel Marina delivered a vetter performance, but i cant take my anger out on Tia winning because she didnt stop Marina from winning. That was Ru's decision to keep Hannah over Marina. And Tia definitely did better than Hannah in the final lipsync as well as over all track record. I dont know why people are mad that Tia won.

Right, there’s really no correlation as to why Marina fans would send hate to Tia. Marina technically lost to Hannah, not Tia, in the lip sync. I feel like the haters just didn’t want Tia to win. They’ve been discrediting her wins saying that some of her wins were undeserved and should’ve been given to another queen. Be mad a Ru for choosing Hannah over Marina, which in turn paved the way for Tia's win. And when you look at track records alone, Tia had a cracking track record which was way better than Hannah's, so either way, her win (after Marina was eliminated) was justified. The usual Drag Race fandom are het up as always and just lashing out because it hasn't gone their way. I personally wanted Marina to win though. She was my favourite going in to this final, but once she was out, Tia's win made sense.

You guys hit the nail on the head saying they change the rules for jinx and not marina…. It’s just such a bad format. But we from the UK knew coming into the season how the BBC are but it’s still disappointing to see it unfold. They will meddle with things very obscurely to make sure they get what they want which is a UK winner. E.g., the editing of marinas lip sync. It doesn’t necessarily mean they have a contract for it, it’s just deep rooted in British patriotism sadly.

It feels just unfair that we get all those incredible Asian queens that do so well but just can't get through the end... Marina, Anetra, Aurora.... Nymphia? Sigh, idk it's just sad

First time I've seen the show cut AWAY from a stunt. Who cuts to Alan Carr whenever the song peaks? It was laughable.

I just don't understand why everyone hates Tia Kofi suddenly. The fandom has been having crazy mood swings lately. Plane Jane was getting the most vitriolic hate until she had one trauma mirror moment and suddenly she's the fan favorite. Meanwhile, Tia has been nothing but kind, has the best track record, and fairly won the lipsync smackdown for the crown and people are treating her like she's a criminal mastermind who rigged the season herself.

I think the problem is that too often you can see production working behind the scenes. People are idiots for bringing it to the queens, as they are just undergoing the experience pretty much. I adore Tia and I'm thrilled for her, I'll happily ignore the slight pushing here and there in the season, but this final episode felt staged AF and that did bother me after a great season. Just scrap the lipsync smackdown and crown the queen who is most deserving in their eyes. The finales are cringy because of this

I agree that people shouldn't bring hate to the queens, but like, if you don't comment on the dragraceuk instagram or some other social media, how does one voice their feelings? I have done so, always respectfully because it is NOT Tia's fault and I'm genuinely happy for her, and still I'm being called a racist and an idiot left and right, which is also toxic. I love love love Tia, but this finale just felt wrong.

31:21 well what the issue is , was that they would use the same amount of clips for each, but theyd use the better clips for hannah, and when marina was more stagnant, she was shown.

This top four was honestly one of the best we have ever had it could have went literally anyway. Love Tia, Love Marina, Love Hanna and Love Dada. Round of applause for them all 👏👏👏👏👏👏 And let's be honest Marina, Hanna and Dada will all get a call for global all stars 2 till then go show them some love ❤️

I was a Tia Kofi-stan from the beginning of the season and glad her dream became fruition. Congratulations to her and all the other contestants. The season was terrific and everyone did well, especially the final 4.

Congrats Tia! What an unfortunate loss for Marina but she is loved no matter what. There are more Queens in DragRace Philippines that I am waiting to get big as well. Looking at Brigiding, Turing, M1ss Jade So, Precious, Bernie, Kat Kat, Eva le Queen and Viñas. Damn! DRPH is just stacked with Talent. PS: Waiting for you guys to cover DRPH S3!

1. We love an hour long Mera video. 2. Y'all should Marina's original lip sync as in the original performance she did at a bar that included a bend backwards and a death drop that was CLEARLY edited out when it aired and you could even see like 5% of it when the camera focuses on Hannah.

It’s the edit, period!👏🏻 I disagree in so many levels in the commentary of this video. Clearly, the camera shots of marina was only 8-10 shots in total, while Hannah had the majority. (But it felt that marina had an upper hand in the lipsync) No shade, but be real that a contestant with the highest amt of badges, was eliminated first? Even if marina didnt get the crown (if production didnt want her to win) 😅 she DESERVE to be in the Top 2 💯

I agree, based on the last lip sync Tia would have won either way, against Hannah or Marina, not only because the producers wanted her but because she did performed very well and clever

Marina fell victim to the storyboard artist, and that they have to crown a uk winner in the UK to be able to air it on the BBC

I think the BBC would not renew the show for another season if a non-UK queen was allowed to win. In the UK everything is going to shit, they are trying to cheer the nation up.

The thing is that, Hannah winning isn’t really too outrageous to accept but still everything felt so rigged into Tia’s favor (she didn’t win the LS against LGD) That’s honestly more of an All Stars problem than a BBC giving them money tho. Same happened with AS8, AS7 (finale), AS4, AS1 and AS2 to an extent.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Nymphia has only worn bananas on the runway twice (2). The other times it was just yellow.

I would hv replied to the judges that “yellow is so stunning that PJ even borrowed it this week” if I was Nymphia 😅

Do you have a video explaining the disco curse? Because I didn’t notice it until now and I’m not aware of the other examples. If not, cool idea for a video.

It’s wild to me that Plane has the best track record going into Top 4. She doesn’t seem like the front-runner, but on paper she is.

to me, they didnt want to waste marina on a season that is disregarded by the fandom en mass. they want her in an rpdr us season. hence why this happened

I don't watch the international seasons so I was introduced to Marina for UK vs the world 2 & she slayed! I have a slight prediction that Ru decided to not have her win because I see Marina getting an invitation to come over to the US and compete on an All Stars season. Kinda like Jimbo in AS8.

The lip sync format and makeover challenge need to go.

I’m surprised this is such a common take, almost everyone I know here in the UK thought Tia clearly won that lip sync against LGD. But maybe I’m very used to the comedy style lip syncs you’d see in a UK club

The only issue I have with the season is the badges. What is the purpose of the badges if the badges don’t determine challenge winners and track record? Because if the Top 2 Queen who doesn’t win the badge, has the same track record as those who do, why don’t both Queens get them, or neither of them? Because Tia has the best track record or Marina does. And if Marina does, I’m annoyed she wasn’t allowed to Lip Sync for the crown against Tia (and Win). But if it doesn’t matter at all, and the Top 2 is the win, I’m fine with Tia being the winner (even though I disagree with the Rusical win). For me, I just felt some kinda way based on the way the season was structured.

correct me if im wrong, i think the only asian RuGirls who take the crown is only sutan raja on season 3 because she is from southeast asia spesifically from bali,indonesia

@aleistere they mean seasons hosted by RuPaul, hence RuGirls. Raja is the only SE Asian winner crowned by Ru so far.

It’s interesting because the bbc would allow a prize money providing the show isn’t produced and it’s fair. There was some riggerory towards the end.

I love Tia, and wanted her to win from the beginning, but she was favored by production throughout the season, probably to make it "more believable", which I think she didn't even need. They damaged Tia's image more than they helped her with these shenanigans. And we all know Hannah "won" the first lipsync simply because it would make it much easier to give the crown to Tia.

Blu last season won and then was on a cooking show and dancing with the stars Ireland. Tia will be very successful after winning..feel like that was the main thing going for Tia is that she will represent the brand of drag race and promote the legacy better for the moment. I dont know if Ru/producers saw that for Marina at the time of filming. They may do now

Let’s face it, Drag Race fans just want something to complain about. If Marina won then you’d be complaining that they wasted her on a VS the World Series, if Morphine sent home Sapphira it would be like when Plasma got sent home my Mhi’ya all over again. It’s a TV show, that’s all. Support the queens you like, buy merch, buy tickets to their shows and tip them but don’t waste energy online being negative because Marina literally asked people to stop sending Tia hate already.

Should have been a double shantayy and a double elimination next week for 16. and Marina and La Gran Dam both won their lipsyncs to me.

top tier season for me! i haven’t rewatched a season of drag race since UK2, and i’m already wanting to watch it again. it was pure fun the entire time. Tia really surprised me and smashed it. Hannah was a delight, and after getting the song she wanted she knew she was going to embody that lip sync, and she did. it’s practically the only song she could beat Marina to. and Marina!! what a joy to be introduced to, such a superstar. also highly highly obsessed with LGD. phenomenal showcase!

It didn't feel like they were fighting to win bc they weren't. Imo I think they already knew the overall placements for the szn. Mayhem felt very paid extra, then this top 4 seemed way too lax to me. Not ALL the cast knew I don't think, but surely some. I smell riggory, but I'm sure the girls were paid well to take these dives. 👌🏿

Tbh if a queen like Marina that has the complete package didn't win, we will never have an Asian winner, like fr 🤦‍♀️. And Tia winning for me it feels like awarding the most improved from their original season, like really?! Yes she is funny and charismatic, but runway wise, lipsync wise it's not it! Either Marina or Hannah should have win, they were THE complete package. I'm done with the vs the world seasons, they feel completely meaningless.

I personally felt the Your Disco lip-sync was excellent. Those queens excell at camp comedy so they leaned into it and I think that doesn't make it any less valid as a lsftc. (I personally thought Hannah won but it was close enough for me that it could have been either)

Marina won this whole season to be honest. She have the most badges (deserved badges and all are deserved top spots), excluding the roast challenge where she wouldve been safe if not for the if-you-are-not-in-the-top she had the best track record, she won that shady-edit lipsync, and she has the most star power among all the finalists.

Jujubee is that obvious example you were thinking about when it comes to Asian queens, not getting the credit. They deserve whether it be winning the crown or winning challenges.

idk from what we SAW hannah did the best in the lipsync and Ru was almost solely watching her… they couldve edited it hella but thats what we saw. LGD slayed harder than i thought she could and Tia ate as well, their lipsync was closer than marina and hannah. I’m upset for marina but it’s whatever. She was showcased so much and so well this season, I’m so proud of her.

The queens reaction when Hanna’s name was called gave everything I needed! Production needed to do everything for Tia to win and her lipsyncing against Marina would not justify the riggery

I went to work the world last year, all the performers seemed to be burnt out, no alot of engagement with the audience, seemed like they needed a break. I wouldn't go again, too expensive for what I recieved 😮

Hannah beat marina because of the song. It was a good lip sync by Hannah for that song specifically. That song is pop rock. Not dance. Hannah served the correct performance for the song. You can’t just twirl through every lip sync. Marina deserved the crown yes, undeniable, but tia also had 4 top placements and 2 badges, Hannah won her lip sync against Marina, no 1 deserves hate over any of this, it’s ridiculous.
