Hey man genuine question, why did you watch this one? I'm glad you found it useful but I have it plastered all over this thing that I made an updated version of this video with more info, but this one seems to continue to grow no matter what I do. Cool fix! In order to preserve the disc drive in my PSP (and make it super easy to move them into other systems), I've modded it and have ripped my games onto a digital format. I still have all my UMDs, though, so I'll be sure to remember this if it happens.

the digital ripping route is pretty much the way to go, I've actually found that load time performance increases a lot when you use the digital files versus the umds.

@@PSPMan That's absolutely true. I blew out my 2000's drive playing hundreds of hours of Dissidia. Once I learned you can rip the games, it changed everything for me with PSP.

Don't get the ISO of Twisted Metal Head On. The SFX for the weapons (outside the specials) don't play at all. And it ain't just an emulation issue ether, it also happens with real hardware. Get the game on the PlayStation Store if possible, it works well on that version than the dumped ISO version. Those SFX don't work because something must have gone wrong during the dumping process.

Yo i just got a psp off ebay for repair. And it wasn’t reading any of my disks i thought it was the disc drive but it was the disc casing like you said i pushed the case back into place and it started working

holy shit dude, if that's a North American disc copy of Patapon 2 I'm glad you found this video. the North American disc release is somewhat rare so its nice to hear one of those got saved.
