Out There: Danny Garcia
Спорт
Danny made an everlasting mark with Mosaic then stepped out of the spotlight, reemerging as the musician Reverend Baron. Unravel one of skateboarding’s greatest enigmas.

That’s me playing ball with Danny! He’s a baller. I can barely guard him, he’s quick. I didn’t know all the history of his skating

this could've been hours long..love this guy
I was skating the quicksilver park once and Danny was filming a video there. The filmers were telling me to leave so Danny can have the park to himself and Danny told them no and to let me skate with him. Super cool dude
Watching Danny made me want to go skate

I was thinking the same
im actually glad this came out. i was always curious like what happened to him and his skating career. definitely one of my favorite skaters.
Remember watching him as a kid . He had a part wit James craig . 27 years of age now. Best style ! Still think he’s the shizznit
his old parts are very very rewatchable. timeless
Glad to see he’s still skating!!
Out there is by far my favorite series on thrasher although it involves the least amount of skate footage it also holds the most genuine understanding of skating and what skating does for the world
This is the best content that thrasher puts out. Right up there with Jenkem and chrome ball incident. For us 40 years old guys. I sure remember his ad “Danny Garcia Did” (maybe for a truck company?) and now watching this, as a european I can’t understand why such a gifted, clever and well spoken guy could not go to college. I think America is wasting lots of talent. I actually like him even more now. Wish him all the best to him and to Sunset Ladder which is clearly run by good people.
What a great way to start the morning. Glad to be from OC, CA.
The basketball segment caught me off guard but was sick !

Damn it's crazy to see this dude now! I remember watch his Mosaic part like 3 times before school, after school and when I got home from skating. This dude was way a head of his time fr!
I've always been a fan! Going back to 411, he was thee first guy in that era to kickflip back tail kick flip out. He did it perfect. Years later, I was at a Alien Workshop demo and a board came flying over my head. I went and picked up it up and Danny Garcia came to retrieve it after getting upset with a trick. This was in North Andover, MA at least 15+ years ago. It seems way more humble than I would have guessed. It's funny how you have a persona of someone to find it out it was wrong all those years. Great video and keep it up.
I use to skate at Chaffey High School with Danny Garcia before he went pro. He learned tricks so quick

Danny, please come back. Skating misses you. : /
I am such a big fan of Danny Garcia. His skateboarding is so distinct and god like style. He’s very few skateboarder that gives me that timeless memory. You are rare Danny. You don’t have to prove anything in skateboarding anymore, have fun. Thanks for doing this and thanks thrasher for shining light on this individual
Up most respect for Danny Garcia. Always a huge fan, I met him at the LA Courthouse in 2018. He had no problem taking a photo with me & we talked for a minute before having the privilege of witnessing his skateboarding in person. A truely genuine human with undeniable talent. Thank you DGAR for being an inspiration & engaging with everyday people, you made a huge impact on me & I inspire to live as humbling as you do.
This is pretty nostalgic for me. My friends and I would skate Rio Vista everyday after after school for hours. We'd then grab Carl's JR down the street, then head home and play Halo 3. Simpler times...
You’re the man Danny! If you never watched One Small Step go watch it now!
Hands down one of the best skateboarders to do it .. I’ll always remember growing up watching dude skate .
cant help but respect this guy as a person and for his smooth style on the fours!
Started as a basketball player then picked up the guitar now I’m gonna learn to skate which has always been a sport I wanted to pursue since a youth.
Was just looking for any random new footage of him recently, so this is awesome!

Yess I love danny garcia
Photosynthesis and mosaic were my first videos growing up Danny’s part in mosaic and clips in photo had a HUGE influence on me! Along with the other legends in those videos Ofcourse but Danny always stood out. Stoked on this out there segment for sure!
This dude is Epic. Best style, super grounded and humble. Wish there was more footage of him.
Used to see Danny skating around CSUF all the time back in like 03-04'. Loved just sitting down and watching him do his thing. Glad he seems happy in his new endeavors .
A Danny Garcia Habitat deck was my first skateboard. Forever an icon. Thank you
Always a humble dude. Good to see him do stuff like this.
Danny Garcia and Ray Barbee should collaborate on some music. That would be DOPE !
I really really respect his honesty in the slap youtube interview. The world needs more of that.
That was so well done!!! Props to skateboarding and to to the filters and the vision of the director !!!
This dude is so rad! Good piece thrasher boys and gals. Keep up the good work 😋✌️
A little somber at times but such is life it's not always unicorns and rainbows. An incredibly human and relatable life story I really enjoyed this till the end.
I needed this today!!
Thanks for this @thrasher
the nollie crook is my favorite Nollie rail trick ever
he's one of those guys that ur in love with his skating and ur waiting for a part. someday..some part something
Used to watch Inhabitants often before going to skate back in the day, and his part was the most favorite. One of the greatest skaters, best style and trick selection
thanks for this, its raining and i got nothing to do today
On my top list of favorite skaters.
What an interesting individual.
Seriously one of the most slept on skaters. I have been amazed by Danny ever since I saw him skate in like 2000 or something. Big dude doing big tech tricks with mad style. Feel like all the lakai homies didn't really show him the respect he deserved
amazing skater and great musician keep up :) !!!
I feel like this man never aged
Thank you for this
Best concious video ever seen .
videos like these always give me a perspective on pros you can only get by getting to know them. like seeing them both on and off the board, what things were like when they were at the top along with life after. its interesting
can't say it enough LOVE THIS GUY!!!
Rio Vista legend, that’s where I learned how to skate and already knew about how D Garr used to live by there and skated there as well. Would always imagine if he pulled up one day what it would be like. Happy about this piece deserves the credit he is due!
Pleasing to watch
rest in peace henry gartland
This guy had some of the best steez all time.
He's a legend, love to see him skate ❤️
Watching this made me want to get ready to go skate a parking garage, I’m in WA and it’s currently 10:13pm and it’s raining outside, I haven’t skated in a little over a month because I’ve lacked the drive, thank you Danny and thank you Thrasher for this piece of inspiration.
Need to do more of these it's cool seeing what o.g skaters are up to after they step away a little from the spotlight
Such an amazing skater, you can truly tell he genuinely loves skateboarding.
One of my faves since high school 💯🌈🙏😎😃

Danny is the men! love his Mosaic part!

16 minutes is not enough! love DGar
My first Habitat board was a Danny Garcia board. Glad you still pushing.
