Out of the Dawn--Nat Shilkret and the Victor Orch., 1928

Superb recording of a gorgeous Walter Donaldson song (which shares a phrase or two in common with "Coquette")--7/19/28, with a fine vocal by Franklyn Baur. Along with "Me and My Shadow," my all-time favorite Nat Shilkret 78. A gem.

This is great and you're right about Me and My Shadow, easily the definitive version, as so many Shilkrets are!

"Warming Up" was a silent baseball drama/love story featuring Richard Dix and Jean Arthur, with a synchronized music score and sound effects, released by Paramount in July 1928. No prints of the film are known to exist.
