This is so useful! And reassuring that it’s not nearly as expensive as everyone says it is. It’s horrific here, even in the last couple of months since you left prices have gone up even more. I spend about £150 a week in Aldi for the same size family as you and that’s totally budgeting and meal planning too! So stressful 😬 x

That's awful. Some weeks we are obviously more if we need to restock things like washing powder, toiletries etc but each week we are thereabouts. It's hard isn't it 😢 x

So useful! I feel like so many people say everything is so expensive so it’s nice to hear from someone who is there that it can be done on more of a budget x

Aldi you will find cheaper but won't have everything Coles and Woolies have.

I'm not a huge fan of Aldi, I done A shop there last week and found it to be more expensive. Good for some things I suppose.

Ross Johnston on his KZread channel reckons prices are 20% higher than the UK, but wages 40% higher. We bounce between Woolworths, Coles and Aldi for our shopping, and use the online website to check for specials on things we buy frequently. For example, big Nescafe tins are usually $22, but are sometimes discounted to $14, Woolies and Coles both had 50% discount on Campbells Stock, and big bags of medium rice are normally $22, but are often $10 at Woolies. The pizzas #2 son likes are usually $8.50, but we wait until they are $5.50 and buy ten, which is a saving of $30!. It definitely pays to be able to spot the specials. Woolies are currently having a big deep discount sale on plastic containers, so we've picked up some of those while they're cheap. The labels in most supermarkets also show the price per kg or litre, which makes it easier to comparison=-shop.

SO ORGANISED AS USUAL! 🤗 Very good shopping skills! I always check the specials, make a list and try and stick to it, buying some good special deals for later is a great idea if you can! It must be difficult with small children and different intolerances, snacks must be very handy for you all! (I notice you haven't bought any "snags"! 🤗) Woolworths is much better for fresh fruit, vegetables and snack packs than the others! 🙋👍

That’s good to know very informative. The fruit for children is great! Also the misting of the fresh salad leaves to keep them fresh. What would you say Gas and electric bills are compared to the UK.
