In addition to the sites that you’ve featured on this video I’d recommend the Weismann Art Museum at the University of Minnesota (architect: Frank Gehry) and the Guthrie Theater. Also, that much maligned industrial riverfront is why there’s a Minneapolis at all!

Love my city. I agree with most of this list. Another great thing to do in my city is drive on the Parkways, Catch a play at the many theaters. Like, The Guthrie and Children’s Theater. And one of my absolute favorite activities is Como Zoo’s flower conservatory plus Japanese Garden and the MN Zoo. We have so many amazing restaurants as well. The Minnesota Arboretum is beyond beautiful and definitely a favorite for me. I also agree that the Global Market is an incredible place. Thanks for making this video.

#1 Eat. We have so many good restaurants, with several James Beard Award winners & lots of ethnicity. #2 Get out of town. There are a ton of interesting day trips, river rafting, eagle watching, & seriously good hiking. Keep your car doors locked at all times. Don't trust strangers, esp some of the 9 year olds. Don't rent a Hundai, Kia or etc. The Skyways used to be vibrant & wonderful . The city used to be clean & friendly.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. Our Top 10 videos always exclude temporary events, such as festivals or sporting events. We only feature destinations that are year-round. That's why we didn't include Summer Fest in our video about top things to do in Milwaukee or Jazz Fest or Blues Fest in our video about the top things to do in Chicago. But we're sure some viewers reading this comment will be interested in the Ukrainian festival.

I was being a bit sarcastic. I enjoyed the Twin Cities for decades, hearing great music, eating wonderful meals and visiting friends and family without worry. That all changed after the rioting in 2019. Now you see hostility to your presence from certain groups and violent crime has risen dramatically. This saddens me.

Unfortunatley, Minneapolis has become very dangerous over the last couple of years. Crime has exploded and many of the neighborhoods you mention here are NOT SAFE for tourists. I would recommend staying outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area if you're in MN. Lots of other things to do and see without the risk.

Best thing to do is stay out of Minneapolis, on the fear of all the crime. Shootings, car thefts, assaults, and robberies; it’s amazing how often these happen during day time hours. The city is short of 300 police officers, it will be a long time before I visit again.

You can also visit the numerous homeless encampments, where drug addicts loot and burn down law abiding citzens homes . Thamks to the Democrat run government, that voted and actually did defund the police, and now they wonder why no cops want to work there. During the riots, that the city council called "protests" , the so called mayor, ordered the police to abandon one of the precincts, which was soon burnt down by the "peaceful protestors". Yes most definately a wonderful city! I wouldn't live or visit there, if they paid me!
