I bought a “cheap” Porsche long before they started this series. I agree, don’t buy one unless you’re able to do the work yourself and have lots of spare time to do the work. There’s always something with these cars. However, when they’re not broken, they are amazingly fun to drive.

I figured out why I love this series so much - it reminds me of old-school Roadkill. Just a bunch of dudes with a good sense of humour working on a car and trying to do ridiculous things to it in real-world conditions. AKA, how car KZread should be all the time. Don't change a thing guys, this is magic.

Top tip: don't just twist bolts you think might snap off due to rusting. Once it moves a little, tighten it back up and repeat. After a little bit of back and forth, the chance of it coming out in one piece is apparrently much better. At least on exhaust manifold bolts, though should work for others aswell.

But a few months ago I got back on the train again. Especially love these three together. The overall dynamic and feel of the group is even better than with Alex. Now I can't wait for a new episode of what ever car they are fixing up at the time. My current top 2 channel. Starter looks like an old VW type 1,2, 3, or 4 style starter, they go bad on the regular (especially if its a reman with questionable origins). I'd spring for a new high torque version. I'd also check all your ground straps, if its heating up but still working usually means theres a resistance issue.

Loving the content and love how you show normal people to how to fix things themselves. Would love to see more of these and challenges.

On cars that old and crusty I'd strongly recommend you soak every nut or bolt in panther piss for hours and then heat it before you try to remove any of them. Also you should loosen just a tiny amount, then tighten back up, then rinse and repeat until the thing is loose. Takes some extra time, but less time than pulling engines and transmissions to remove broken studs and bolts.
