I think she may have so underlying issues from her past that makes her passionately hate a person who lies, and he didn't stand a chance. I'm not coming to her defense but I ended a relationship as well because of lies. Lying is a disease for some people and it only gets worst with time. They are right to be apart from each other and do some growing before moving on to someone else.

I personally don’t think it’s “past traumas”. I think ppl overuse that phrase. I think it really is her personality. Like she said, she likes to be honest and absolutely hates lies. I’m the same way. If I find out someone lied to me, I’d get mad too but not like this. She lacks context and empathy is what her real problem is. She’s condescending, judgmental, and callous. The smug smiles when she gives her fake apologies. She has the cognitive empathy to know why people are upset but doesn’t have the compassionate empathy to work positively with her husband. As for him, he should’ve stopped taking her back. He should have more respect for himself and he needs to go to therapy to work out his issues. He will be fine. Her, on the other hand, she’ll be bringing these same issues with ANY guy she gets with and only ever think THEY are the problem. It’s sad because she’s the reason for the cycle to begin anyway. The last guy she was with probably ALSO had self esteem issues, talking about how she grew up and found out there are “better options out there” but married a man she constantly demeans. She is LITERALLY the start of the cycle because I think she chooses these men as men with higher self esteem wouldn’t want her even IF she’s pretty

My mom never admitted to her drinking problem until a month b4 she died. After several hospital incidents, she finally realized she was an alcoholic and she didn't mind dying from her drinking. She was so bad that she predicted her own death date. April 18, 2020.😢

I love this Mother. This girl sounds very loud and aggressive.

The first segment: that young lady, not sire what she is going through, but her behavior towards him is going to turn a decent young man, loving and willing to listen, into a bitter one.

As a mother I would have first tried to talk some sense into my son which I know wouldn’t fly. Then I would pull the young lady aside and tell her my son isn’t ready because if he were he’d have his own place. For those that think mom should mind her business, he and the young lady is her business because they are in her house. Call it what you want to but I wouldn’t know a person so well and not pull a woman’s coat tail and say, “sis rethink what you’re doing.” You have family members that know their loved ones aren’t right and will laugh behind your back and say shit like let her find out for herself.

She is a very intelligent, yet emotionally immature young woman. We must not allow ourselves, to forget who we may have been at her age. She will get better in time, just as he will become better as well. Both deserve time and grace. Yet, they should NOT remain together.

The wife looks so young, but you can hear the hostility within her. A (GED) should not define one's ability to express love. If the man is working towards his GED, then their marriage and love should be about mutual support. I understand that he should not have lied about certain things, but perhaps this can be a fresh start for them. Both should consider seeking therapy-one for dealing with drinking, and the other for managing their temper. Often, people turn to alcohol to cope with unresolved issues or feelings they're not discussing. Mind you, she decided to be with someone forever only after knowing them for 8 months. It’s also pretty obvious she has abusive tendencies via her language which can be a trauma response. I feel bad for her but also at a certain point it’s time to act your age and heal.
