I hope you get a picture in the autographs of all the new workers who touched the chapel to help restore it. It would be lovely to have their photos and autographs for anyone wanting to know who helped. For your records they’ve done such a wonderful job.

The weak point to the chook house is where wire/steel fence meets ground. As sure as the sun rising, Mr Fox will dig under it if not buried correctly.
The chapel looks so beautiful! What a huge effort by EVERYONE involved, to snatch this little jewel box back from the jaws of destruction is a measure of the strength of this community.

Steph, you and all your family, can be proud of the legacy you've preserved in the Chapel.
I think the chapel should look new. Just because it’s old doesn’t mean it has to look aged and dilapidated.

It just gives it a bit longer to be in the state where it looks like it needs help, yet again! Also I think that the birds, nesting & pooing will hurry it on into the aged look😢!!! Perhaps a plastic owl should be mounted on each corner of the roof to keep the birds at bay😂!!!

I agree, I love that it is being brought back to its original glory. In my opinion “aged patina “ is just really the result of years of neglect and I love seeing these beautiful old buildings brought back as the people who built them or had them built envisioned.

Chapels is stunning so now we know what opening day was like now added value to the Chateau possible a new way to gain some income to the property ! In some way but not overwhelming! Maybe twice a year have a I aid event to honour the Chapel and all its glory ! Maybe do postcards printed to sell ! Just a thought!
The Chapel of Saint Joseph looks incredible. You are the chatelaine who has put the most work into the chapel to restore it, to maintain it and to save it🌟
Stephanie! Thank you for sharing the daily videos. We know is a lot of work at the end. We value it. ❤❤❤❤
The chapel looks glorious!
Davy’s vision for the garden areas is fantastic, and Kirsty is dedicated to the chicken project. Our chickens live in a structure that my husband made which I call Fort Chickenworth. Keeps them safe from hawks and varmints!
Last week we had the privilege of staying at the Chateau from New-Zealand. It was absolutely wonderful seeing the Chateau, gardens and chapel. It was extra special to meet Stephanie, Philip, Natalia, Marie and of course Gerald. It was just delightful letting us in to your world for a few days. Thankyou so much. It was a joy to stay in the Marquis suite and experiencing Marie's amazing cooking. I hope I can come back one day. You are very special people who bring joy to the world. Many old cathedrals in America have added glass doors in front of the wooden ones to let more light in ...or left the wooden ones off altogether. I don't know if there is room in that portal opening, but nice simple glass doors would add so much light to the chapel and it would be nice for visitors to peak in even if/when the chapel is closed. I can't wait for weddings to be held there, and hopefully Christenings ...or I guess Catholics would say Baptisms of the little ones to come!
I never comment. But I have been watching for a while. My town temple Texas was hit by a tornado Wednesday night. I have had no power. Hopefully it will be restored by Tuesday. And the only thing that has kept me from completely falling apart is watching your videos. I have been charging my phone in the car 😢. Thank you for spreading joy ❤

Nothing like a great big Aussie burger replete with bacon, egg, beetroot and pineapple, along with the usual burger patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, grilled onions and tomato or bbq sauce. Wonderful that you are back to Chateau family Pavlina!
I was born , grew up and still live in Cornwall . One of my favourite places is Glendurgan garden. There are lots of special things about it. The maze, the giant stride (which was such fun) then walking down to the little village of Durgan where when I was a girl (many years ago) some of my school friends lived. Sadly not any more. Cornwall has many special places and gardens. You really should visit. 😊

The chapel is absolutely stunning. I think my favorite part was watching your glee as you returned home. I have a friend who lives in Cornwall and I have to ask her if she’s ever seen that garden. It was utterly ethereal. Thank you for another wonderful glimpse into your magical life.
~ Thank you Stephanie😉 Welcome back Paplina! 👍🏾 The chapel looks so nice.
I paint murals, which is quite different from the painstakingly precise work that your chapel restorers are doing, and yet it is interesting to see that the tricks of the trade (using chalk to mark out painted elements because it easily wipes down) carry over. I’ve been fascinated to see this process. I know it’s been expensive, but I think it’s so worthwhile!

Vegetarian burgers in Australia have beetroot too. It’s the best! Cooked caramelised onions and beetroot on a mushroom or patty and salad burgers.
The chapel needs a stone platform all around it with some built-in stone benches at the front so that the interior can extend outside and you can hold events for people to enjoy the chapel! Now that it is starting to look so glorious I hate that it is poking through the weeds and untrimmed surrounding. It is not respectful enough for the building. Very fine work chapel restorers!! Nice to see Pavlina back at Lalande. 😍
