This is based on his life. He has three daughters. Hailie is his only biological daughter, but he adopted Laney (the other girl in the video). She was the daughter of his ex wifes twin sister - and later he adopted Whitney. The daughter his ex wife had with another man. Laney just got married, and Hailie is engaged. They seem to be doing very well😊

@@javiersosa3255 What are you even talking about? Whitney is doing good as well. She's non-binary, but there is nothing wrong with her. Eminem even commented on her in an interview awhile back saying she was doing well, and his 3 daughters are what he's most proud of. Even though she's not his biological daughter, Eminem considers them all his real children.

This is why people love Em - he's not afraid to be real. He doesn't hide all the time behind an image and play "gangsta". He will reveal his heart and people relate to that. Fake can get you attention, but it doesn't keep people's attention for long. The spectacle passes. People want to feel connected to artists and sitting on a mountain of cash surrounded by "bitches" isn't relatable and frankly, gets tiring to hear about.

I realised that my dad taught me a valuable lesson by leaving us. I knew the struggles me my siblings and my mum felt without my dad there. I knew when I got older I was gonna take care of my own and love them to death. This song is beautiful and I’m happy to share this story with you guys. 4:54 those few lines are about Laney. Laney was the daughter of his ex wife’s sister. There was nobody there to take her in, so he did & raised her since she was like 4 years old. He also took in Whitney which was his ex wife’s daughter that she had with a different man. So Eminem took in 2 little girls that needed parents & raised them as a single father. That just makes me respect him on a whole different level because very few men would do that. They all seem to be doing great, and it’s clear he did a damn incredible job as a father & he continues to.

This song is at the top of my list of reasons why he is objectively a requirement in any “Top 5”. We can all name the few rappers who have made you cry with a verse. That is the mark of a true artist - a poet. This song alone puts Eminem in that category. It is flawless lyrically and the story will break any parent in half. When he talks about the presents under the tree…that’s one of the most powerful visuals I’ve ever heard in any genre. The only emcees that really floored me like that were Ghostface in “All that I got is you”, Quan in “Just a Moment” and Danja Mowf in “Strange Fruit”. Em absolutely created a diamond that everyone can appreciate with this track.

Very real backdrops. The first was channel 7 news in Detroit. The Detroit News paper. And the last one was channel 4 news in Detroit. I’ve seen a lot of people try and rap alongside to this song, but probably have never heard the words. You two get it! Awesome stuff 👏🏻 😊
