The other child in the video he mentions as “Laney” is actually Kim”s sisters daughter who ‘Em adopted due to her drug issues and unfortunately later subsequent death, the baby here is his biological daughter Hailee who gets mentioned a lot in his songs. Years later (not in this video) Kim had a baby with another man then Kim and Em got back together and he adopted her too. Sadly her biological father passed away. Em has been a constant in these 3 girls life and I believe he refers to all 3 as his daughters.

Mockingbird is such a classic… a song that gets even more popular as the years go on… as someone who grew up in a broken home it really hits deep for me the entire story of the song + it’s a very well done instrumental fact he turned a lullaby into that aesthetic/sound is pretty amazing + like your dad said it’s a really nice chorus with those keys in the background deff one of my fave from Eminem 💯 some don’t realize how diverse he is in terms of range of songs from emotional, sad, angry, funny, hype, motivational etc…

Mockingbird was the song that made me fall in love with Eminem. When I was younger I didn't listen to Eminem, I just heard some songs every now and then Like D12's My Band/How Come. But I didn't specifically listen to him. I knew some of the songs, cause they played on the radio but I didn't seek him out. It wasn't until 19 years ago, when I was in Middle School that I heard Mockingbird for the first time and then that was it for me, I was hooked on Eminem and had a newfound appreciation for him. Love him to this day. Amazing Musician, Amazing Father.

Not afraid, for sure so one of his most motivating and touching songs for me. Toy soldiers. Eminem was at his peak during my 20 s so I really grew with him and his music. from the age of 4 i’d say, before i could even speak fluently, i knew every word of this song thanks to my father. my dad, my parents split up before i was even born and my mom was really into substances, my dad took custody of us when i was five but even with the years leading up to that with shared custody my dad was both the mother and father, he did a hell of a job at playing both roles. forever thankful for him and this being our song.

This song is good when you're young, but now that I'm older, this song hits in a whole different way. Family is more important the more you grow up. That's part of why I love this channel honestly.

Eminem before getting clean is a lot angrier then Eminem after getting clean. You can see a big change is his music from one period to the next. Getting clean an more mature I think helped him emotionally. An music was always a therapy for him to let his emotions out.

i remember this was the one song i really, really wanted to listen to in the car with my dad off of his burned cds but he always skipped it. said i shouldn’t listen to it. i, being a kid of the 2000s and the internet, naturally found my way around that. eminem’s music was something that my dad and i connected through, and he wasn’t always around so i listened to this on repeat when he wasn’t there. weird coming back to this. i still feel like a little kid when i hear it. wild

Yeah, I'm still hoping that they patch things up and be together again for old time sake. They look happy together in this music video. We all have our problems in life and time will come that we are just too old to think about it anymore and just enjoy life. I hope theyre doing fine whether apart or together. Em btw is a beast in the rap industry. Loving his songs.

Your videos are very informative for me because I am from India and was born in 2004. The internet is not easy to access, and English-language western music is not popular. I am late and I get to know the story behind the song and about the artists.

If you wanna do some new stuff, cover Gnat, it's like a modern day Slim Shady track, just references and rhyme schemes out the wazoo! Its so amazing to have seen the journey that Eminem has made, he's really on an untouchable level.

This song hits home for me because I remember we grew up with a single mom. No dad around I’m the oldest of 3 boys and so I grew up fast by 14 I was hustling to make $ while my mom was dealing with alcohol addiction, and a bunch of mental abuse from her family around her, and by 15 I was tryna bring my family closer by BBQing and spending family time to take away any of the pain. During that time I was the dad to my 2 brothers and I remember hearing this song during that time and it hurt

Just found that surprising. Glad they done mockingbird tho ive been waiting patiently for it (pun unintended)
