We did not deserve Amy Whinehouse. She had something incredibly special and not just the irreplaceable voice. It still makes me sad to think we lost her due to all the people around her who used her. Kept her away from treatment for her disease. She makes me emotional
@philwill0123

She kept herself away from treatment. When her ex cleaned himself up, she still couldnt. She shut herself out. Literally the song "rehab" is her shutting people out. At some point artists believe drugs give them the power. Especially if they are still creative while addicted. She had an addictive and obsessive personality. You cant help someone who refuses to be helped or is in denial about having a problem.
Your lovely smiles when you first hear her voice is why Amy will still be listened to in a 1000 years. There will never be another like her.

She watch itching for the pipe during this performance... Soul wrenching in too many raw ways...
Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington. Those were definitely her inspirations. Love Amy so much.
Such a soulful singer and fragile human 💔 Breaks my heart that she's gone but her voice lives on.
Amy songs, love is a losing game, rehab, back to black.

Amy's voice making you feel you actually know her. RIP Amy
just sitting in that chair and chilling while delivering that vocal, ..... like it was so easy ....wow
At the time of this recording she was under 100lbs and going through withdrawal (which you can see by her constant fidgeting) I adored her in childhood and it hurts to see how much she was struggling. Also Amy is apart of the very famous 27 Club.

Yes. As soon as I heard that Amy had died, I said out loud, "She's a member of the '27 Club' now". Along with Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Brian Jones and Kurt Cobain.

You're so right. People think of addiction as being drugs - Coke, speed H whatever. Booze is the worst. Since when could u go to the local cornership for a wrap? Bottle of Whiskey, no probs. She was extremely let down. Her Dad is a sanctimonious prick

@@Markygee1 Geez. I can't imagine booze being the worst. You don't rob a bank because you don't have money for alcohol. You don't steal from your friends and boss because you don't have money for alcohol. You don't steal and hock all of your familiy's belongings because you don't have money for alcohol. You don't go into debt and lose your house and cars because you don't have money for alcohol. You don't sell your body in filthy, back alleys because you don't have money for alcohol. But you *will* do all of these things for drugs. All of these things my sister did for Heroin. So, there is no way that alcohol is worse than drugs.

@@frauleinmona Sorry for the loss of ur Sister and I honestly wasn't meaning to downplay drug addiction. Point I was making is that addiction is addiction, whether it be drink or drugs but alcohol is more readily available. I spent a few months in a residential rehab where they explained how addiction is a mental health issue and that you have to concentrate on you. They also explained that ur family will not understand it because they are seeing their loved one self implode and can't see why. It's heartbreaking on both sides

@@Markygee1 Awww. Thank you SO much for your very kind words of condolences for the loss of my sister. I never thought you were trying to downplay drug addiction. I suppose when I heard that you said booze is the worst, I took that literally. Thinking it was worse than being a Heroin addict. I read too much into things. I realize that addiction is addiction. I just remember having a conversation with a friend who was an alcoholic and telling him I know that his addiction is bad and destructive and painful and hard to stop. But he compared it to drug addiction. I told him it's not the same thing because my sister would could not as easily buy Heroin as easily as she would be able buy alcohol. She did horrible things to get that China White. And he agreed. He said, "Well, that's true. I can scrape together $3.00 to buy a bottle of vodka. But it's not that easy to but Heroin with $3.00 worth of change". So, I feel grateful he understood. It's true, my family didn't understand. We tried so many times to help my sister. Put her in rehab. She would get out, be good for awhile and then go right back to using. I know she tried. But she just couldn't get rid of that monkey on her back. She finally succumbed to the drug when she was 37 years old. I was 24 at the time. Anyway, thank you once for your thoughtful and compassionate words. I greatly appreciate your comment. Have a safe and Happy New Year.🎊🎉🙏💖😺🍀
The documentary "Amy" is excellent, and well worth your time.

It's just so f*cking sad too :(
Amy definitely had a very unique voice. Yeah what a tragic story… So talented.. She kinda reminds me of Lady Gaga & Joplin. You can tell she was going through something right here.. Sad what drugs can do to you. So young and gifted💕
Can’t believe you never heard of her!! She is still huge in Britain and her voice is amazing!
My favorite Amy Winehouse song. There never was and never will be anyone else like Amy Winehouse. Iconic.
"Back to Black" and "We're Still Friends" her voice was so powerful and distinct ❤🔥
rip amy..fantastic voice now singing in the stars x x x
Amy sang without fear or shame. Just the real stuff out of her soul - and into ours. RIP pretty lady.
So glad you did this one. Amy was a national treasure for us in the UK. She is sorely missed and was a real girl next door with an unbelievable talent that everyone should hear. Thanks
This pure talent guys! Sitting on a chair and belting it out! Amy is old school classic blues and jazz ! The best female voice there ever was!
She was a unique and amazing talent. Heartbreaking.
Welcome to Amy’s world. She was such a rare and beautiful talent. One of a kind voice. Gone too soon. ❤
Sorry, I'm just trying to wrap my head around the idea that someone on this planet still hasn't heard any of Amy winehouse's music...

she was extreemly talented, Her demons won and killed her.
I was devastated when she died, just over ten yrs now. Love Amy 💘 forever.
I have to agree with so many comments here. I get choked up too when this version is played. She was a gift to all of us. R.I.P. Amy. Such a Tragic Loss.
Please react to more of Amy’s music, she was a true once in a generation talent gone far too soon. She was so gifted as a singer and a songwriter. She’s particularly beloved in her country the UK where she is one of the best selling female artists of all time ❤️
It's so effortless with her, she just opens her mouth and it comes out so resonant and pure, just sitting there in jeans and a t-shirt, just off-handedly. She was something.
