We love Hawaii, but we definitely miss our Fifth Wheel waiting for us in Tennessee. We can't wait to hit the road with it here in a month or two.

Yeah!!!! So cool. The chickens and roosters on this island are legend. Also Wiamea Sugar plantation has epic beaches and a dinner to eat. Also the road to Hana continues and circles the island, you will leave the rain forest then into a desert on the other side of the island it is magical.

We’ve been to all 50 states and are working our way through again in our RV (currently at 37 states slept in). Thanks for sharing us how to get Hawaii. When my sister and I were about your kids ages our family of 4 traveled 5 summers in a 1964 Ford pop-top camper van. You can do it too!

This episode is so well done. Touring Maui in a camper van with a family of 4 has got to be challenging to say the least,. We’re loving every minute of your travels in Hawaii and look forward to each episode release. Thank you for putting it all together for us.

KUDOS for great share, video and doing a family of 4 in a Travato! Amazing tight fit and you are making it work, and showing unique RV / Campervan life in Hawaii! NEver thought about it, but yep, no room for big rigs at all, and love seeing uHaul campers :) All the BEST to you and family! Amazing how you got groceries in there, WELL DONE! Cheers :)

Good call on not camping on the sides of the road. It's definitely locals who love out of their cars that do that. Also, there are 5 wheels there. I saw a few that people shipped over but they were super limited on where they could go. Most of them were along the Road to Hana. The roosters are insane there! Thankfully I woke up at like midnight to be at work for sunrise at the summit and didn't hear them in the early morning hours.

That was FUN !!! .....great family vibe , the memories will be precious :)) ....Sooo happy for you guys !! Enjoy :)) !!!

Totally agree. We are blown away by the fridge size.

We have a 17’ Winnebago Travel Trailer and that fridge is HUGE compared to ours! Haha. I was so shocked at the amount of groceries that my mouth dropped! 😆 And JJ’s Hair! 😂 ❤️ And loved his version of “Catch you guys later” ♥️

Did you all just give him a frozen waffle. Lol

You’re in the exact same Travato that I own. The major difference is that I travel solo. But I’ve been living in my van for almost two years and I love it. Happy trails!

Hey awsome, Van RVing on Maui for a week. I have been to Oahu twice (once in fifth grade and once just before my Senior Year of College, and that trip we stayed at the Ilikai (where Steve McGarrett was standing on a balcony about the top floor in Hswaii 5-0 in both versions of the show). Also, we stayed in a rented condo on the Big Island. We took a trip around the whole ilsnd, and stopped at the Vulcano Park. It was cloudy. So glad for you all to have this opportunity to see the Beautiful State of Hawaii. As far as bringing your Solitdude, that would be a difficult task, that you would have to have it on a ship. I have seen tiny houses in Hawaii, but they were built there.

FYI, ROOSTER trivia from my experience raising them years ago: when my roosters were young they sounded really comical when they start crowing. Your welcome. Loved this episode since we sometimes wonder about trying “van life” travel!

Oh yes the 1st morning in a new campground. It is the best time. Then the when I saw JJs hair LOL I could not stop.

JJ's hair was a definite lol moment for me!

I'm waiting for delivery of my 2022 Winnebago Travato 59GL (same layout as the one you are in, but with the full lithium package) to live full-time in as a solo traveler. So exciting! We definitely missed lithium in this van. The generator is nice, but it is so loud. Lithium is definitely the way to go.

I've been full time for as long as you guys. My biggest challenge is flying somewhere. Because like you guys, I don't pack a bag very often. Even when my company sent me places and I stayed in a hotel, my camper was in the parking lot. Packing is very stressful if I have to do it quickly and don't have a couple weeks to drop stuff into a waiting suitcase as I think of things. You get pretty spoiled arriving everywhere with everything.

Y’all maybe able todo a van with4 people but I don’t think I could do it with just 2. I would runaway screaming give me space. Now I love my 35 foot motorhome with my husband and just 1 grandchild at a time. Y’all have fun and I know the kids will love it.

Hawaii is so fun. I had the opportunity to go to Maui once. Such a great memory. Jim Neighbors use to live in the Flathead. When he found out we were going to Maui. He invited us to visit him on his ranch. Unfortunately, and I guess this happens a lot, the wife got sick on the road to Hanna. So we did not make that connection. Looks like you are having fun.

I rented the class B I was looking to buy in march from outdorsy. We have had a 21 foot travel trailer (a little guy max). The rental pushed us to a yes. We ordered dour van in March and picked it up june22. We are now out with it on assateague island in maryland. So we are a proud new owner of a winnebago solis 59 px. Same van as the travato but ours has a poptop with a bed in it. Plus a bed below so can fit a family of 4. Have fun in your van.

Thought of you all the other day..."Wonder how Hawaii is surviving?" ; ) Love your family. Happy for you to experience this.

I have enjoyed these videos from Hawaii as I lived in Ewa Beach for over 11 years and been back many times. We also visited Kauai, Maui and the Big Island a couple of times each. I love watching you guys wherever you are. We loved living there. My husband was in the Navy and we arrived with 2 kids and and 3 furniture crates and left with 4 kids and 11 crates. We then went to Guam for just over 2 years so we went from an island to a rock! Have fun! Enjoy your trip! Aloha!🐠🌺🌫🌴🍍🥭🍱🏄🏄‍♀️✈️🏝🌅❤️🇺🇸

I was stationed at the Marine air base there from 82 - 85. Snorkeling in Hanauma bay was awesome. If you go, bring an underwater camera!

Very adventurous.... Been really thinking about parking our RV and flying to Alaska and doing the same thing!
