For the island vibes in Jakarta, you may go to Ancol recreation park, PIK, or thousand islands.

Hi! a local here.. so I don't know if you are still in Jakarta or not, but honestly if you really want to see the view of central Jakarta you can actually go to the National Library instead, it is that building that peeking from the left side of the monument building in 5:07 . I've been there before, and trust me, the view is no joke! It is free and has a lounge (a nicer way to enjoy the view), it always open, you shouldn't wait hours to go above, and the best part is that the National Monument itself is in your landscape 😄one thing from me tho, try to not to look so touristy when trying to get there!

there are tons of public transportation that are faster than grab(cuz of the traffic) if you know the route. you can use such as Jabodebek lrt, Jakarta lrt, MRT Jakarta, Commuter rail, Jaklingko and Transjakarta

Yes there are islands, you need go to Ancol Marina, buy ferry ticket, and you can visit some of thousand islands. It takes 1-3 hours by ferry.

You can visit "Bundaran HI" or SCBD for shopping because in there a lot of mall and jalan Sabang for street food

As Indonesian (and been travelling to some part of the world), i am embarrassed about our tourist management in Jakarta. I envy how Singapore, Kuala Lumpur so well managed. Jakarta has potential to be major tourist destination but the government chose to ignore it.
