11:14 = Dendeng balado, is a typical West Sumatran dish made from thin and wide slices of beef which are first boiled, dried in the sun until dry, and then fried until crispy. Some recommendation for choice : 1. Beef Rendang 2. Ayam pop with sambal 3. Fried egg ( thick omelette) 4. Head fish curry ( very delicious but little expensive) 5. Cassava leaves curry 6. Hi guys.. Yes, Pagi Sore is a posh Padang food restaurant, hence the bill. The thing that's a bit similar to rice cake is actually cow skin (sliced thinly, dried under the sun, and deep fried). We called it "Jangek" cracker, and you ate it like a Padangnese, which is to dip it with the sauce.. Very nice video overall, keep it up.. 🙂

The yellow veggies = jackfruit (nangka) the crackers = cow skin barkedel = potato with beef the beef with sambal (red sambal / green sambal) = dendeng sapi (its like roasted beef with red chili or green chili). usually Nasi Padang are best with green chili sambal :)

Bahasa inggris adalah bahasa internasional, salah satu fungsinya adalah memudahkan berkomunikasi jika dalam kondisi masing masing berbeda bahasa. Seperti halnya bahasa indonesia sebagai bahasa nasional, maka semisal ada orang Maluku sedang berada di Bandung, maka mereka dapat berkomunikasi dengan bahasa Indonesia.. bayangkan jika tuan rumah orang sunda berbicara dengan orang maluku tapi menggunakan bahasa Sunda, dan sang tamu hanya bisa berbahasa daerahnya. Itulah pentingnya dapat berbahasa inggris setidaknya untuk percakapan dasar.

It is heart warming seeing you both going Pagi Sore at Cipete Raya because I was live there for 8years. I moved to Kuningan West Java since 2019, so yeah it is a familiar street. And, Pagi Sore is one of the best of Padang Restaurant. We have the others such as Sederhana and Garuda. They are all GOOD. 😊 The main thing you should remember about Padang Cuisin is everything in yellow or orange is curry/Gulai whether it is egg, fish head, chicken, beef, beef cartilage, young jackfruit and so on. They just has a tiny slight different taste because of the main ingredients. Then, everything in red is named as Balado (kind or base of Sambal/chili sauce) whether it is chicken, beef, beef jerky, shrimp and so on. Then, you will have meal in grill such as chicken or fish. Then, you have a very different chicken in all white like no spices at all (not exactly, the chicken has been cooked and spices with coconut water), it is called Ayam Pop/Chicken Pop. The boiled vegetable leaves is cassava leaves. And, you have Special Padang Sambal: Sambel Ijo/Green Sambal, using green chili. For me it is not spicy at all, but not for foreigner. Hihiii... And, in some Padang Restaurant they serve soup such as Soto Padang like one they served at you. And, some places has Sate Padang and Martabak, made by request. Sate Padang has such thick curry sauce with square thin meat cow in sqewer. And for the drinks, they serve tea all variant (ice, hot, plain and sweet), variant of fruit juice, mineral water but no Cola/Coke or anything soda. Because it is really bad having a meal with that high calory and drinking a coke. 😅 The thin beef with red sambal is beef jerky, dude. We called beef jerky as Dendeng/Dendeng Batokok. The o e you ate is wet Dendeng, we have the dry Dendeng. It is almost like a cracker.😅 The yellow/curry with something cube inside is young jackfruit curry. We called it as Nangka (jackfruit) Gulai (curry). What you called like pumpkin is potato. It is Kentang (potato) Balado, with stingky bean/Pete or Petai (the green one under the potato on your spoon). This bean that makes crunchy. Delicious in Indonesia is Enak ('E' like in Enter), E-nak. Your sound of Enak become Anak which means a child. 😂 Something oval that you devided by two to both of you is called Perkedel. Originally made by smash potato+salt+white pepper+spring onion round it, dip to the egg then fried. But Perkedel you eat is from beef meat and flour. The round super crunchy cracker that you eat the last is cracker made from cow skin. You can eat it with the curry sauce or by it is own.

You ate a lot for two people. For one person, we usually only take 1 protein (whether it's beef, chicken or fish), cassava leaves - one portion (can be shared for two people), veggie with yellow sauce is jackfruit curry - one portion (share), and green sambal - one portion (share). And we mixed it all with the rice.

Ini salah satu resto padang termahal di Jakarta, tapi pegawai nya sedikit bahasa Inggris aja gak ada yg bisa.. wooi.. pak manajemen, tolong di latih bhs inggris sedikit aja pegawai nya.. atau cari yg bisa sedikit bahasa inggris..

Kita sebagai tuan rumah bukan kita yg seharusnya bebehasa asing..orang asing itu seharusnya berbahasa indonesia..aneh anda y.bahasa ingris tidak pernah me ginginkan bahasa kita..kecuali dia tour ke indonesia pasti ingin bernahasa indonesia.coba anda pergi ke negara peru..apakah org peru beebhasa anda disana.?budidayakan bahasa kita biar mendunia itu intinya

Go to small/ local warung Nasi Padang, try take away they will wrap with huge porsion for you, rice, rendang,chicken gule-chicken curry, egg fried, perkedel fried mash potato, gulai nangka young jack fruit curry, sambal ijo green sambal chilli

Sebaik ny memang Restoran² besar terutama yang menyajikan makanan dan minuman khas Indonesia mempunyai karyawan² yang memahami bahasa asing, minimal bahasa Inggris lah agar lebih bisa memberikan rekomendasi makanan/minuman apa yang terbaik sekaligus memperkenalkan nya kepada orang² asing. Biar mereka paham dan makanan/minuman khas Indonesia jadi lebih terkenal dan mendunia ☺.

thats padang style for serve the food,u only pay what u eat..dont open the wrap if u wont pay for it..once the wrap open,u need to pay it brother.. rendang is popular food in padang restaurant thats vegetable is jackfruit with curry sauce,the green one is casava leaf beef with red sauce its called dendeng balado and beef with green sauce its dendeng betoko every restaurant has own style for the food,and mostly they have same thing for serving the food on ur table.. enjoy indonesia brother god bless

cracker with yellow gravy you tried, we called “kerupuk kulit = beef/buffalo skin cracker” with gulai sauce it’s typical padang food have it

Usually their staff are very polite. Vegetable you eat its a Jack Fruit. Its similar to Malay dish. Must try using your finger to eat nasi padang its could be more taste.

Yes pagi sore is one of the best Padang restourant...more a little bit expensive but ITS good enough

young jackfruit is for soup veggy and old jackfruit is as fruit

Next time nasi Padang my recommendation😊 1. beef rendang 2. chicken curry 3. Green chili sauce 4. cassava leaves 5. jackfruit vegetables everything is mixed in one plate and asked to mix the sauce for the rice

Sudah saatnya Jakarta menetapkan aturan bisa berbahasa Inggris untuk semua karyawan yang melayani masyarakat, karena sekarang banyak orang asing datang berkunjung ke sana. I wish I were there and helped you both to explain the food. The yellow dices on the plate was curry young jackfruit.

Pagi Sore also in PIK. Pagi Sore is lux resto of Nasi Padang...Find the "warung style" and choose on counter what want to it put on one plate everything will save you a lot. Try Rendang, Gule Ayam (chicken curry), telur dadar (omelet), and sayur nangka (jack fruit curry) thats normally cost you around idr 50.000 and have a tea or bottled mineral water

There are many padang restaurants in indonesia, and they have own different price for each dish, pagi sore restaurant is one of the expensive one. You can try another padang restautrant with the cheaper one. Oh ya , the vegetable that you ate is jack fruit curry

The best Padang food in Jakarta are: 1. SARI INDAH at jalan Walter Mongonsidi Kebayoran baru South Jakarta. 2. PAGI SORE the price is bit higher than other , but for european & American with Euro and US $ is normal not so expensive, but the quality and taste beyond doub,…👍

The best food at Sari Indah resto - kepala ikan kakap ( snapper head ) - Daun ubi tumbuk ( mashed sweet potato lesved ) - Ayam bakar ( grilled chicken )
