Hey, girl! I’m FL born and raised. I still live here and I highly recommend checking out the St. Pete area for your shoots. I think you’ll absolutely love it - it seems like it would be a good fit for what you’re looking for (beach town, gyms, etc.). Congrats on moving back home!!! You guys are going to continue to do amazing things.

Literally just moved to help my mental health (like I’m watching this as I unpack boxes haha) and as stressful as it was to arrange everything, I know I made the right decision and I feel 1000% happier already! So excited for you both and thank you for being so authentic and real! 💙

I'm from New York as well, a little over an hour from the city! My county was one or two over from Westchester, so it's really cool to know you're from there too! Right now I'm halfway across the country for school and I can definitely relate to feeling homesick, struggling with my mental health, and not realizing what you had until it's gone. But your channel is really helping me and I'm happy you're taking this step to improve your life!

So excited for you!! Having my whole family be from right outside of NY, I know that no other place compares to it. I think this move is going to be a great change. I struggle with being away from family for too long as well and being closer to them makes me the happiest. So do whatever makes you happiest because that’s what the most important thing is at the end of the day! Best of luck to you guys🥳

I just finished my four years of college in Boulder and I can definitely relate to a lot of what you are saying. The whole four years I was at CU, I LOVED Boulder, but literally the day I graduated, I looked around me and was just like "wow...I'm ready to get out of here". Sometimes places just aren't a good fit or you grow out of it or your needs change! I'm happy for you that you are gonna move and I hope it makes you happier

I felt like I was listening to myself for a bit in this video! I’m looking to move back home to Chicago late next year for similar reasons - I miss my family sooo much and just having familiarity, whether it’s friends or your fav places to eat. Big cities just have so much more potential and excitement for younger people starting their careers or building them up. I’ve actually moved a few times for school and personal reasons, so I’ve lived in both Tampa, FL and Las Vegas, NV. You never appreciate home until you’re gone! Tampa is a really cool community that is close to tons of great beaches - I would definitely recommend checking out the area for your trip! Super excited for you guys & your move 🙌🏽

I’m from Fishkill, NY. Just about an hour and 20 minutes north of the city. Beacon is about 15 minutes from me and is an incredible town that is doing really well right now, completely gentrified, and a very quick jump to manhattan. It’s calm and peaceful but always a ton to do and so beautiful all times of the year. Good luck and so happy you’ll be in New York again, there’s really no where else like it - born and raised 🙋🏻‍♀️💞

So excited for you! I went through this exact situation. I'm from Upstate NY and moved to Charlotte NC. I stayed for 5years and developed terrible depression. I didn't feel I fit in anywhere, went through multiple groups of friends and just ended up missing my family and friends from home. I stayed probably 2 years longer than I should have (fear of judgement and looking like I "failed" even though that wasn't the case) but my life and mental health have improved tenfold since being back. So anyone considering making that move back home don't be afraid, if it feels right do it! So happy for you guys!

I'm so glad you're doing something proactive to improve your mental health. There's nothing wrong with trying something and then switching up the game plan if it doesn't work like you thought it would, at least you gave it a shot (I wish more understood that). I love NY, I take any excuse I can to go! Hope to live there one day too, maybe after I finish up college. I actually live in Florida, more so the Orlando area (so not a great beach town lol), but my dad lived in St. Petersburg for work for awhile and I remember when I would visit it was really nice! Could be a spot for you to look into.

Hey!! I was born & raised up north in Maryland with all my family and friends. My boyfriend got promoted through work & it brought us down here to Florida about 4yrs ago. We now live in Coral Springs (20mins North of Ft. Lauderdale) & I love it down here. Definitely miss friends and family but I travel up there for work often & they visit down here (as well as his parents retiring/moving down here in a year!) I love to be outside and lots of beaches, food, culture, live music, entrepreneurs - you name it! Simply based on what I have seen & know, I would suggest the areas near Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, & Jupiter - those areas of south FL are absolutely beautiful with lots to do and I think you’d enjoy a few weeks there. Also lots of puppy friendly places 😊🐶💕 Best of luck!!

Suggestion for Florida!! I just moved to Saint Petersburg and I love it! Super cute beach town! You can get to the beaches in 20 minutes and there are tons of gyms around here! LA fitness is my personal favorite, large gym with everything you need, (I know because I use your guides). St Pete is like a hidden gem, it’s growing but it’s so unique! It is definitely culturally diverse, and very economically friendly! On top of all these things there is so much to do here, restaurants, bars, and shops located so close. Markets every Saturday morning, food truck events. As you can tell I love it here. Small city with a big city feel, you can also cross over the bridge and get to downtown Tampa in about 25 minutes which has a ton of stuff as well! Hope you consider it! You’re awesome, so glad to hear about the NY move!

9:31 Oh my husband is from Westchester too! Rye Brook. We lived there and then New Canaan, CT for years before we moved to Austin for easier living. But if you have family, definitely be with them! Family is the BEST when you're lucky enough to have it. Oh and lack of cultural diversity is one of the MAJOR reasons we didn't move to Boulder. It's a HUGE deal for me! Good luck! Y'all are totally doing the right thing!

This is so interesting because we just moved to the West Coast from the East Coast and we absolutely love it! The biggest thing I cannot stand about the East Coast and especially around New York City/dc is the congestion and a competitive lifestyle. It really seems like a lot of people there are just not happy because they are either in commute traffic or just really going for the next buck. I totally understand your case because your family there. West Coast is slower living and definitely better suited for family life (and you don’t have kids). I already noticed how schools are less competitive here and more laid-back than the East Coast and we are doing so much better with our kids because we’re not pressured with all the testing. Just food for thought if you have kids in the future. We moved to the Pacific Northwest which if you’re close to the bigger cities then it’s quite awesome when it comes to food :-). We live in Washington but we are very close to Portland. At the end of the day, if you have not made friends where you move to it makes it very hard for you to enjoy the city. I got lucky when we moved and made awesome friends. If I didn’t, then I wouldn’t feel happy.

Sarasota on the gulf is beautiful in the winter. Dog beaches, no waves, crystal clear water, and a constant temperature of 80 degrees. So many gyms, couples your age, great restaurants, parks, and a good mix between city and suburb.

I totally feel you. My husband and I have been In California for 3 years and we are finally moving back home in 2 days! It’s so fun to experience new things but home is home. Also while we have been out here we have driven 8 times back and forth to MS (26 hours each way) because of our German Shepherd lol! Best of luck to y’all! ❤️❤️

Come to Melbourne, FL! Only an hour south of Orlando. It’s on the east coast, a beach town, and some great gyms! Bonuses: lots of food options from so many cultures AND it’s on the smaller side so you can have a more relaxing experience :)

If you want a nice small city feel look in the Brevard County, Melbourne area. It is also only about 45 minutes from Orlando. Tons of fresh water springs driving distances. And no more than a 15 minute drive to the beach 😊

The St. Pete, FL area is great! I grew up closer to Fort Lauderdale and moved here for school 5 years ago and never looked back! Also VERY dog friendly, you can practically take them anywhere here.
