Our big Cycling Adventure - It got a bit rough!

It's day 2 and 3 of our adventure. Day 2 is long and lumpy and day 3 is lumpy and rough! We were pointed toward the Guru Coffee shop in Fenwick, Northumberland, so had a quick coffee and a chat with owner, Claire. Well worth a visit www.thegurucoffeeco.co.uk/
With 4 more days to go, the realisation of what we have embarked upon is not be taken lightly!

Nice to see you both on our home turf, I’m glad the weather behaved for you. The plane indents in the rock were an artwork called "Sweetheart Wings” 2005, it originally had cast bronze planes in them, spitfire’s I think. Mysteriously the bronze planes vanished.

Thanks for that explanation, Graham. They certainly look Spitfire shaped. The cast bronze plates probably went the same way as stolen cable…..

My god Roy at the start of the video I thought you'd become a mountain biker! That rough surface and gravel really is taxing . Throw in a headwind and uphill and it must have been very hard. What a relief it must be when you get back into tarmac. Your tumble must have upset Wendy and put her off her singing.😄 Nicely shot video, thoroughly enjoyed it; Thank you

Like any good film maker, you end each video with a cliffhanger. 😊 You two are sure having a wonderful adventure. With all the rough paths you were on, at the end you'll feel a great sense of accomplishment. I've taken a tumble myself back in the day when I was bike riding. I hit my helmet-less head on a curb. When I opened my eyes, EMTs were there. The first words out of my mouth were "Where's my bike?" 😁 The next day I bought a helmet. Looking forward to the next installment. Hope the weather holds up for you.

Always great to see your videos Roy, glad you and the bike were OK after your off. I'm not normally a fan of music with KZread videos, but this one is an exception, hints of Mike Oldfield who I've been a fan of for the best part of 50 years

I only use music if I think it adds something, Roger. It’s often done badly, too loud or while people are talking, which is why it jars. I take a lot more time than I should making it fit the change in scenes etc. I think of it as a good picture frame. If it’s done well it should be too obvious 😀

I haven’t worn a watch since I retired 14 years ago, Graham, so you’re asking the wrong man 😀 My Wahoo does show the time which is handy to make sure I’m not going to be in trouble by being unexpectedly late home. I guess it depends what you want it to do. I’ve seen people using gps watches and activity monitors, but they’ve never appealed to me. I’m sure plenty of our subscribers will have some advice for you.
