Love this man! My grandmother is 88 and tells similar stories about growing up (often barefoot) on Madeira. She has dementia and we don't hear them so often anymore. Cherish your seniors, folks!

So important to record all the stories for the next generation 😊
This gentleman is too cute! Amazing how hard life was back then and everyone made nothing of it. Just continued to strive. Makes you think how lucky we are today. Well, I'm glad he's well and that this one little pain in the a$$ toe is better with your help. Great job Jonathan.

Agreed. A history professor when I was studying in Ireland showed my class pictures from a poor region of Ireland in the early 20th century and told us that their smiles were fake because they'd been *told* to smile, that they couldn't *really* be happy because they were so poor and had to work so hard on their small farms. The rest of the class believed him. I didn't. My grandparents had grown up in the American Midwest during the Great Depression. My maternal grandparents in particular were *poor,* but they didn't think of themselves like that. Grandma told me she didn't even *know* she was poor until near adulthood because everyone in the area was in the same boat. She had fond memories of her little tin lunch pail and playing on the way to school. One of the few photos of her as a child show her grinning from ear to ear, wearing a swimsuit that was *much* too small for her. The suit was a gift from someone who'd overheard Grandma wishing she had a swimsuit so she could go swimming. Poverty doesn't make people miserable. You're thankful for what you have or you spiral into paralyzing depression.
What an alert, "with it" man! And at 89 years old, not an ounce of bitterness because of his hard life!! I enjoyed your conversation with him. Hope he can read these posts.
I read something today: when an elderly person passes away they take a lifetime of memories with them. And what memories they are. Thank you to this wonderful gentleman for sharing he’s memories. Priceless.
You are soooo kind Jonathon! You can hear the sweetness in your voice, the respect and love you have for the elderly just shines through like a bright beacon, we really need more people like you♥️

His feet are in awesome condition for his age! Hope the corn cause is solved and that blighter stays away.
I love the ones with older people. They are always so sweet
He reminds me of my grandparents. They both lived well into their 90s. It’s amazing to think how much the world has changed since they were young!
What a great patient so many interesting stories he had a very hard life but turned out to be a great person it made him who he was. I have been looking forward to your new videos you haven't put much out but every time you do I'm right here to watch him thanks for the great show . Faithful Toebro.🥰😁😁😁
Your videos have encouraged me to recommend my mom and grandma to go to foot specialists. I want them to hopefully live to be as old as some of your patients that reach the 90's

So many great grandparents, grandparents and parents had life really tough, and didn't grow up bitter or angry or entitled. But, they did make it their goal to make life easier for future generations. We need to appreciate their sacrifices and not be afraid of hard work.
this man's voice is so much like my dad's, who I lost six year ago unexpectedly. Thank you for letting me hear my dad's "voice" again
How cute was this gentleman!!!😊
Jonathan, thank you for helping this elderly man with his sore toe 👍❣️ You bring comfort to SO MANY👍❣️ I wish there were more foot specialists like you, that actually cared about their patients👍!!! 💞ALOHA FROM HAWAI'I 💞🌹 LYSSA 🌹
He is adorable! Here in MN we always say…we used to walk 10 miles to school and back, up hill both ways, in 5 feet of snow 😂🤣.

A different time from today, when he grew up. Children were expected to contribute to the family through their chores and helping around the house and farms. Today's kids are not learning these lessons or developing their self-esteem in such tangible ways. This gentleman was a treat to listen to and wish him blessings and a happy New Year and the same to you and your family.
I love him! What an honor it must be to know someone like him and I bet he has some AMAZING stories to tell! If some of these "old-timers" could just get through to these kids today and help them realize what life was about back then. Hell even the "old-timers" of just the 70's or 80's could give these kids of today some advise on how not to be sooooo dependent on technology and how to figure things out for themselves. If it were just that easy, right??? Anyways, I hope you have an awesome week with that brand new little man you have at home, and your wife too, of course!!! Take care and stay safe!!!

talking, i live in vienna and we have a social programm for old and young to meet and exchange, young learn independence, old learn dependence and to accept help, wonderful but still a bit stigmatized
I could listen to older people's stories all day. All of my older family members have past but I will never forget those stories
This is why we should listen to our elders. Such true life stories. He's amazing, and now 89 and still remembers. He should write a book.
My dad was 102 when he passed away and he used to love hearing about his childhood and growing up he lived in the Youn orphanage but he always had lots of stories to tell
It is always an honor to hear the stories of our elders :)
What a lovely fella with an amazing accent! Meeting people like this really make your day when you come across them in life ❤️
First pair of shoes at 18. Wow! And people today think they have the audacity to complain!!!
People of that age are just incredible! My Mom lived strong all the way to 98. I think it’s because they lived and worked hard and were not coddled. The words of Captain America come to mind. “If you get hurt, hurt them back. If you get killed walk it off!” That was my Mom for sure! Never pass up a gray head without engaging them in conversation. You simply don't know what you are missing. 😉
He has a better story than walking three miles in the snow uphill both ways. Only the barefoot snow ❄️ part is true.

Glad you were able to help him with his pain in the a$$!

He seems like a man that would have so many interesting stories that I could listen to while drinking a cup of tea together
They don't make them like this any more!!!!! What a life he has had....this is what the kids of today need...role models to show them how hard life can be ,yet with the right attitude you can get through anything life throws at you. Hard work and persistence really does pay off in so many ways....it builds character, resilience and helps you from falling into the trap of self pity. All Kudos and respect too this 89yr young at heart man ...oh and you did a fantastic job treating his feet 👏 thank you I truly enjoyed every moment of this video. I've just subscribed to your channel and i know am 9mths late to comment, but I just couldn't let this one go by without saying anything. Looking forward to watching and catching up on all your videos.
I can feel the pain relief being stripped away with each stroke, I have a disturbing fascination with these videos lately! 😂😂😂
What a delightful gentleman!
I love hearing about his life! How incredible and how unbelievable the changes through all the years must have been for him to experience. Truly our elders are the best teachers of history with their first hand accounts! Bless you both 🙏❤️🙏❤️
Nice to see you back
Bless his heart, he is too sweet! Hope the remainder of his life treats him kind. 💞💞💞
I dig a soft corn out and it was about the end of my nerve tolerance. This gentleman is just chill and nonchalant.
I love him! What an awesome person your patient is; I could listen to him talk about his life growing up all day long. Thank you so much for filming him and I thank him, too. So cool.
You are such a lovely man and doc! There must be way more like you and the world would look so much better!
Love the videos because I am a bit warped. But, this time, the best part was the stories your patient told. Thanks for the great content.
Omg, This man is absolutely lovely I remember hearing stories from my grandfather just like he’s telling. It makes me miss my grandpa
I love everything about this video. This patient is a gem and I love his stories. What an extraordinary life. I made sure my daughter heard his story. We have so much to learn and appreciate from our elders! You're so great with your patients.
The stories of our elders need to be captured. Kind ole soul he seems.
I held my breath on this one because I thought there was going to be an ulceration! What a sweet gentleman.
So glad you could help this lovely gentleman. Excellent job Jonathon. Take care & cheers🐨🦘🥰
What a lovely gentleman. Hard work never hurt anyone. So they say. He is living testament. Thank you for being so respectful to him. He certainly deserves it. Greetings from Australia 🐨🦘🇦🇺

Toe Bro: I'm gonna guess...80 *cue dead silence and stress* Client:...what? 😂
What a fantastic client you had on this video His stories were great and kept everyone entertained Plus the fact that he had some great toes Thanks for uploading this one love watching your videos ❤️
This guy is so cute. I love listening to him.
I myself, when I worked in medical, I loved working w/ geriatrics. The stories they tell are some of the best!
What great stories that man has. Could listen to him all day. Hopefully he will get his toe fixed to stop the build up of hard skin
Such an amazing man! I would sit and listen to his stories all day
To say this patient is a long-term patient and their foot likes this makes me question not just the patient but the care they have been receiving.
I loved listening to this gentleman's stories. What a sweet old-timer! 😊
Thank You for comforting him and having a sharp eye. I can see that it will take me a while to travel back through all your videos!
Feet are tougher than we know. Life is generally hard around the world. Lots of folks without shoes or sandals. He has a great sense of humor.
What a cute gentleman! Loved listening to his story. Glad he didn't have a sore.🙂thanks for sharing! How is little toe and Mrs. Toe?
I enjoy listening to older people, the way they grew up,and to us it seemed harsh, but they talk with pride in their voices. Walk miles to school, sometimes only 1 pair of shoes a year. But they were better and stronger, plus lived longer lives.
What a sweet man! So glad you could help him.
What an incredible man, I applaud him
For an 89 barefoot baby, them toes are looking right ✅. All that hard labor, and walking and his feet still look better than 50% of guys in their late 20's.
I love the elderly. They are so interesting.
I could listen to stories of his life for hours. You have the BEST patients 👣 “Hi to your wife and baby”.
Thank you so much Toe Bro for your videos! They are so educational and have helped me care for my own food problems I might get!
I love watching your channel. You are so kind and procedurally great!
Hey toe bro so glad to see you've uploaded hope you're doing well
What a great conversation to listen to! Life was so different years ago...I miss that kind of living.
What an interesting guy! You are the best at digging out those corns. I watch a lot of different doctors and you are the best at doing this. You make it look easy!
Love the stories elders pass down
Loved the Q and A!!
This guy is amazing! And what a life he lived!
LOL this guy has a great sense of humor. love it!
Sweet ol man. Thanks for taking such tender care of him
Happy to see you back
The clients are always so interesting!
You’re so skilled with that blade!
That gentleman is too cute! Bet he can tell you lots of stories about when he was a kid. (I love those stories)!
What a great patient.
I loved hearing that guys stories would be so interesting to listen to them!
Yay so happy! New video!
Such a nice patient
I love hearing stories, of older people who have been there and done that!!! History!!!
Loved the conversation
I LOVE this gentleman, so much respect for him! ❤️
OMG his patient seems like a kind soul.
I wish I could understand the guy more, he sounds so interesting! I love old people. They have so much to say with not enough people to listen. 🥺
What an adorable sweet old guy!! I love your videos Bro!!😍
You are a wonderful doctor and man. I wish I could have you fix my feet. You would have a field day!
What a marvelous old gentleman!
I can feel the relief.
Glad your back toebro. ✝️❤️
Aw he’s such a sweetheart and so are you
My Daddy is 83 and the youngest of 11 (There is only him, Uncle Randall 92, Uncle Charles 87 and Aunt Sue 100 and spry as ever). He said they only had one pair of shoes growing up and that was in the winter time. Always barefoot other than then. They were share croppers so they had to miss school for planting and harvesting. But every one of them grew up and made something of themselves. Hard work is always the key.
Oh how I wish I could have understood his story better! I’m guessing he had a mask on? I LOVE his accent! Old people are sooo interesting! So life educated! Bless this man & doc!
