I don't know him and I don't think, that folks in my age know him. I know Elvis as the King of rock'n roll, and Sam Cooke and James Brown as the Kings of soul. No Otis bashing, I think he has a great voice, but he isn't remembered by people in my age ( 20 ).

Eddie Floyd sang "Knock On Wood". A couple more hits by him were "I've Never Found A Girl" and "Califonia Girl".

My guess would be yes, Otis was famous for cleaning his teeth with the stuff 😊 but the fact remains he's been gone for 55 years and his voice and songs still mean everything to us ❤

It looks a lot like Booker T. Jones. He's a likely candidate, because Booker T & The M.G.s were the main House (in-studio) band for STAX Records, and often toured with some of the STAX artists.

That stupid knocking drives me crazy ... let him sing!
