I don't know him and I don't think, that folks in my age know him. I know Elvis as the King of rock'n roll, and Sam Cooke and James Brown as the Kings of soul. No Otis bashing, I think he has a great voice, but he isn't remembered by people in my age ( 20 ).

I don’t know if Al Jackson had been snorting something before the show but he was damn sure doubling the beat on those drums compared to the album and practically every other performance.

My guess would be yes, Otis was famous for cleaning his teeth with the stuff 😊 but the fact remains he's been gone for 55 years and his voice and songs still mean everything to us ❤

It looks a lot like Booker T. Jones. He's a likely candidate, because Booker T & The M.G.s were the main House (in-studio) band for STAX Records, and often toured with some of the STAX artists.
