I love all big cats but lions are by far the most fascinating/interesting. I love there pride dynamic and how they face life together. They are the kings and queens of the animal kingdom. 🦁👑

Rise of a Young King King Othawa

The young male in this video is called the Othawa male. He was helping his natal pride defend their territory after his fathers died. He now controls the pride he was chasing in this video. They are called the Mhangeni pride - he has cubs with them.

@@IncredibleLyrics yes, he was sneaking onto The BBoys territory for a Kambula girlfriend. No one witnessed or heard the fight. Londolozi found some bones and claimed The BBOYS killed him. Tragic. Another sad SS mystery..

@@brightnight1372 othawa male was a great looking lion,never had he been in savage fight so had near no scaring on his face,he also had an amazing mane,and Allround a fantastic looking lion...hunters would of payed a huge amount for a good looking lion like othawa male,this is why we think the fight with the bboys made up and one of many lies...

Im glad that they didn't attact the last 2 lions in the end there they went right into the submissive position, also they looked thin not in very good shape maybe a mom n cub?? I had a si of relief for them Great footage

Not at all. He only attacked, when the famales did the first move and waited out the other situations. Especially considering the is the biggest lion in this situation. He's the least authoritarian male I've seen. Which makes me think if he's even the dominant male or rather an almost grown youngster.

I H you have no idea what you are commenting on.. If you knew anything about lion behaviour you would be able to see just from the way he is strutting about he is a lion with complete confidence in the situation he is in. That is as clear as day! Do you even know about the Othawa male? Clearly not! So your comment is actually laughable.

@@leonardellerbesnose7922 Yeah I've been to Africa. Doesn't mean you're an expert nor that you saw anything. A Lion full of confidence attacks a rival and doesn't strutt around in the back letting the women to the arguement.

How ironic...Othawa here is defending against the very same Pride he would go on to takeover and protect.

They are lucky adult males for some reason don't kill sub adult male intruders, they usually let them live with just a beating - it's almost as if they want them to live so they can get that real battle when they reach maturity.

King O is to nice to hurt them.

That young one is tough already taking 3vs1.

One of the Mhengheni 12 sub males sat & covered his injured brothers hind area @1:29 , That's not the last time those males have done that for each other, no hesitation at all. So sad we lost em.. .

And then 2 years later the Othawa Male switched allegiances... Though these are the Mangheni 12, dunno if any adults were with them.

At 1: 44 if I`m not MISTAKEN this is Othawa Males brother the last of the Majingilane DYNASTY from the Othawa pride that were the Othawa Male came from too ... I`ve been wondering if he and SASSY 3 son ever made it for my last sighting was back in 2021 just before they spilt from Hairy Belly who past back Feb 2021 ??? For it is SAD about his Father Ginger Matmiba diying from MANGE and also SAD that his brother the Othawa Male being Killed by Nhenha & Tinyo of the Birmingham Boys and possibly some of the Ntseva/Kambula Lionesses to but they to are gone in this Circle of LIFE that us all SHARE together as a SPECIES ... RA 68 HELL FIRE

I came back here after learning that the Othawa Male the King of now Mangehni pride is killed by the BBoys..

Yes he had such promise. Sad we will never really know what happened. It’s upsetting when they are killed so young.

They are all dead now. Only 2 females are alive from that other pride that were sub adults. And the 9 sub adults that were all brothers they are all dead now their mothers abundant them to go with other males lions and they all died and one lioness. The male lion here survived. And is now with the 2 remaining lioness who were sub adults and he was attacking he even has 2 cubs with one of the lionesses.

The young were kidz of Mehgeni pride sired by Majingi coalition- Mengene lionesses suddenly abandoned 12 healthy kidz, they were two years old so too young to hunt on their own. Terrible. No idea why they did that- in other prides lionesses get killed protecting their kids (Mengheni had them all healthy make ot to 2 years of age and then abandoned them and the 3 older Majingis - before any real take over happened. The kid struggled trying to humt because they were to young and nonone was there to show them so they got malnourished and one by one died in next few months. I’m only one male survived who was accepted by Nkhuma pride and one female was allowed back into the Mengheni pride. All others, who were boys died. Huge tragedy.
