"People sure like their benches." In the Romanian countryside, every household has outside its courtyard, next to the front gate, a bench. They are mostly populated by granny's who observe everything on the street, collect and share intelligence. If you transgress ever so slightly against their norms, your mother will be notified, and whip you red... Granny's are omnipresent and uncompromising in imposing social norms. You cannot hide anything from them. It's the village KGB. Have more benches Raptor, otherwise your mother will hear of it!

Also if you are on Ostriv, you might be interested into "Quiet flows the Don"- Nobel in Literature (it has several screenings). Also Taras Bulba (2009) is not bad either.

Hi Raptor, you are correct, in putting housing near various industries. I've got a big city over 200 people and noticed my farms weren't as effective until I put homes near them. Seemed folks were spending all of their time walking to my home section. Nice job w/ the fields. They are more square than mine.

17:28 Maybe not so eastern but still slavic. Here in Poland we have something like doughnuts called "pączki" and it is freaking awesome. We even have day "tłusty czwartek" (fat thursday) dedicated to then. And when it comes to not desserts you have to know pierogi. 🥟😂

Benches are life, benches are love. FYI Slavic graveyards often have benches for visitors right next to individual graves. Apple pies, vatrushkas, blini, perogies (meat, cheese, or potatoes)

Thumbs up. perhaps fixing this people walking alongside the bridge is fixable by making the house lane a dead end one by placing a fence at the end of the road.

Build the fences out a little further away from the mouth of the bridge such that they block direct access to the path. It should make the bridge a faster route and direct them to take it instead.

Romania: "cheese pies of different varieties( Romanian: pasca, Branzoaice moldovenesti), Rom: cozonac (variety of sweetbread made on Christmas, Eastern and other Christian holidays) , God's diapers, Papanasi ( Cheese doughs with cherry marmalade and sour cream), and.... and.... and...Koliva ( also spelled kollyva, kollyba or colivă) ( served only at funerals). My favourite are : God's diapers (Scutecele domnului). Dough rolled very thin into a dough sheet, baked crispy, repeat several dozen times, to several hundred times, ( depends on how much you make). Honey, ground walnut. Soak the doughsheets into honey syrup, and layer them... In between ground walnut.... I do not know why, I associate fruity desserts with austrian patisserie ( Germ: Konditorei). Eastern Europeans would mostly make alcohol from fruit. Romanians would never bake any apple pie.... Sometimes, Pumpkin pie... my mother would make.... but apple.... sounds Austrian to me. Romanians are a cheesy, winey, cherry type of nations... No idea about Russians. I've heard russians romanticize apple trees . Romanians love cherry's instead. As a romanian child I loved funerals, and memorials ( pomane). Coliva was always served. Needless to say, I loved funerals.

Once you start setting up the market stalls and have all the different food brands, you can start increasing them all slowly by 10% at a time. I never went below 0% and I am paying wages at 80% right now and still making a profit.

hi there, nice videos. I've learned a lot with them. I've encountered a situation that I don't know how to solve: when I order to build a building and some trees have to be removed, the foresters cut down the trees but some times they leave the logs on the floor and never retrieve them, making the building impossible to be built. There is any solution? Has anyone had this problem too?
