Hey happy Monday :) So as a rule of thumb I use for these games I will buy lower cost items and then sell the items I can make from those. So, like with this maybe focus on the iron production and iron items instead of the food. Just because the potatoes and wheat are so cheap you could buy those and sell the nails, horse shews and metal parts to make the money back from buying the iron parts. Take this with a grain of salt because I have never played this game. But with lords of the realm 2 I would make knight suits and sell them and then I could buy anything I needed. I think the other issue is that you only had 2 fields and it always helps to have fields that can be divided by 3 or 4. This game looks like 3 most others by 4. Just because the field can use up nutrients in 2 seasons making you put the field to rest in the 3 seasons. Hope this comment makes some kind of sense.

Would you believe it never crossed my mind to buy food?! I don't know why I didn't think of that, but also, not sure if any of the neighbors are selling food. I'll have to check it out. But I could buy wheat to make flour or whatever. Either way, when the iron is set up, it will start making money I hope.
I like the fact that you don’t fast forward through your builds. I like going along with all the progress. Thanks!

Glad you enjoy it! I don't have time to edit 😁
Would recommend putting in at least 1 more crop field and hire a farm manager so you can set up the crop rotation on a multi-year basis and have at least one field fallow each year. 1 farm can handle 4-6 fields depending on the size.

I certainly will next time. Thanks!
Lime is used in leather production I believe, i.e. in the tannery.

That is correct.
