You need a manager for both farms. Having a manager allows you to set up your crop rotation and allow for when to fallow a field so it does not conflict with production. I generally run 4 fields per farm. With no plows that is 3 fields on a 3-year rotation with the fallow being set so 2 fields are always in production. 4th field is on mass food production of Potatoes-buckwheat-potatoes-fallow. a 4 year cycle.

At this time, the Economy is set so you cannot fail. You will always get a loan which (so far) you do not have to pay back. I expect this will eventually change, so prolly not good to get use to that! So many tips I want to share... but you seem to be figuring out things nicely, enjoy! Yes, I had temporarily lost my mind.

I think you keep looking at income, not balance for your total. Because income - expenses = balance. Not income = profit or loss. I think that is where some confusion is coming from. At 45:08 you said last year you maid 208 and this year you are up to $53 when you should have said (income) $53.31 - (expenses) $49.94 = (balance) $3.37 Referring to timestamp 45:10. I think you keep selling all your metal parts. I could be wrong you sell so quick. But maybe you should set minimums for the goods you have. In your mind if not in game. Oh, ok I think you figured out the metal parts thing. Did you sell off all the charcoal and then they could not make more iron? Are you going to pay back the loan? How does that work?

So, the loan is new to me. I think you just lost when the money ran out last time I played. So, no idea :). I'll re-look at the balance sheet. I think there is a small language barrier in the game because the person making it is not an English first language guy. I'm also not sure the priority of storing stuff and moving stuff to the trading post. It looks like if I set it to trade, it goes there pretty quickly which limits my own supply. I haven't played this game very often, but I'm learning. Thanks for the comments.
