I was all about signing Victor Osimhen but then I started watching Nico Jackson and he started growing and he is one of our top scores this season so idk if it is the ideal move when we have a young striker in our team.

Jackson’s chance against burnley that he put in the keeper’s gloves from a few yards out is clear indication that he’s not ready. Dribbling through the box and then giving the keeper the ball is not a world class striker’s instinct.

Gilchrist a bit reminds me to Ampadu because he is not technical enough to be a full back/winger back and not physical enough to be a central back. And we haven't seen him in the midfield but again, he is not technical enough like Caicedo or Gallaghar. Hopefully Alfie's position will be found because he has the perfect mentality and a good sense for tackling

Victor Osimhen also showed at the ACON that he's also quite capable of NOT getting goals. Italian football is not what it was. Just look at how Ruben, Pulasic and Lukaku are shredding the place. Also Slonina looked excellent with the ball at his feet during our pre-season. I was seriously impressed. I don't think he did a single thing wrong.

Reuben and co are shredding the place due to favorable tactical setup, NOT due to being in an inferior league. Afterall 4th placed Milan best 4th placed Newcastle over 2 legs in the champions league. As for Osimen, I noticed during their game against Atalanta that he was more focused on overpowering the defender marking him (Swedish guy called Isak Hien). Some defenders are just too powerful and too skilled to push over. I get that his power play is a major part of his game but he has to find more subtle ways to get around powerful defenders if he is to reach Harry Kane's levels.

If we’re being compared to them then as he does in the video then we have a pretty similar mix of academy and players we bought. I don’t think Real is the best example for the point he’s trying to make. A better point to make with Real Madrid is that the combined experience with the youth well and properly rebuilt the team to compete.

Given the financial rules now I really don’t think we could afford him and why would he come to a club that’s not functioning properly. We are not the club of a few years ago. Other than Lavia and lack of a striker, recruiting has been ok. The way we concede goals I can only point to the coach. He doesn't prioritise defending as well as set pieces (both defending and attacking set pieces). When was the last time we scored a goal from a corner? That's why Mourinho always beat him as Chelsea coach.
