After purchasing my house back in March of this year this has been on my bucket list since then since then to record my new home siren. Fast forward 9 months later and my work schedule finally allowed it. This siren is exactly a mile from my house and is is located at Schupan and Sons scrap metal recycling center off Lincoln Way E just east of Osceola. While the siren is in Elkhart county due to its close proximity to St. Joseph county, they opted to be activated by them. Since St Joseph county did a radio upgrade siren now does full three minutes. EMA also got a whole new staff and have announced they will be doing a 1.5 million dollar upgrade to the St. Joseph County siren system. All sirens will get a complete new set of boxes and thankfully the upgrade is being done by WSS. I did have to call them today to remind them to test.
