I grew up near Shively with one of these almost literally in my back yard. I lived right behind the old Lake Dreamland station 2 (now a PRP station), and they had one of these, and blasted it at noon every day but Sunday. Back when they still used them to alert the fire departments... well, let's say it was the occasional rude awakening in the middle of the night!

maybe not. but the fs model 1 at michael collins elementary school does hi/lo every time there's lightning 3 miles away.

No, it's a sign and signal 3T22A. 3T22Bs have taller motors, this has a very short motor.
