I feel like Saoirse is the only actor to be nominated as a child and then still continue to get nominated into adulthood, but she deserves it so much :)

Jodie Foster comes to mind.

I get the impression that Saoirse is a very humble person. It's no winder so many people like her! she seems very down to earth and genuine. Something you don't find a lot anymore.

I really hate it when he HAD to mention that her dress is age-appropriate. Does he go around all day thinking: "r the dresses of 13 y.o. girls too sexy or not"? What a perv! From Shirley Temple to Tatum O'Neal to Dakota Fanning & Abigail Breslin, NEVER have I seen even ONCE anything but normal dresses on these girls, so y does he think that? Did he expect that they'd wear a see-through thingy?? Ugh, now he's put images in my head: all I can see now is that interviewer in womens clothing ... ;)

I think it’s quite the opposite of your claims. I’m glad he was praising a child for dressing age appropriately, because it’s become so normalized for young girls to pander to the male gaze and the patriarchy which tries to make all females sexual objects. She defied that, and that is a good thing. He wasn’t the pedo, it’s the men/and brainwashed women that let underage girls dress “sexy” (and, ultimately, all to please others) and not say anything about it that are pedos.

Well to me 'peculiar' is another word for odd and i don't think Irish people would appreciate being called that.What a random thing to say. Maybe you mean to say pretty? There's a song called 'when irish eyes are smiling'. Saoirse has beautiful eyes. Their her best feature and really draw you in especially in Atonement. And i'm sure the ladies don't think Colin Farrell and Pierce Brosnan look odd !!

Well she was born in America to Irish parents and they moved back to Ireland so she's American born but no less Irish so Irish American at most
