He theoretically could've fought Winky in 2004, but he fought Bernard Hopkins instead. But Oscar controlled the timing of when they ultimately fought. So if he was too old then thats on him. And if he Canelo was too young to fight Floyd then maybe his promoter (Oscar!) shouldn't have agreed to the fight.
