Canelo's biggest win was Cotto, a 5'7" welterweight. He also got easily beaten by the smaller man Floyd Mayweather. Liam Smith was a tad bigger, but he's a bum. Amir Khan is a welterweight. He weight bullied Chavez Jr. (another overrated bum) down to 164.5, which is 4.5 pounds lower than Junior's last fight at 169. Golovkin has had a height or reach disadvantage in 4 of his last 6 fights and he walks around at a lighter weight than Canelo.

So, the fights you guys can name are from two years ago and four years ago... but I'm the hater. Riiiiiight. The reality is this: Neither guy is stupid enough to get into a slugfest. When canelo fights a guy who can bang, he fights carefully. when GGG fought Lemieux, he fought carefully. Tactically. It is a good and meaningful fight that needs to happen? Absolutely. Is it expected to be an exciting slugfest? Doubtful.
