I have seen this exact same story from Revenge Films channels, its exactly the same story Also, it’s best to cut ties with toxic family, because after seeing what OP’s father and stepmother did was really unforgivable and can’t be overlooked, they deserved the punishment for their actions, especially the police case against them for drunk driving and losing the professor’s job in university along with debts! That was story similar to this on a other channel but seem the parents did reflect on their actions while in the one i talk they did not.

My elderly aunt, who holds to delusions of grandeur, attempted to reach out to our family members who do not have college degrees (like she has) to disinvite them to my son’s wedding. The funny thing is, they are very successful in their chosen fields.

There are a lot of people who went to businesses who never went to college Some people are just naturals at that job at least there soon to be son-in-law is it a lazy guy who hangs around the house.
