The Taruya is higher output which is why a little louder. Suggested tracking force is 3.5g which is higher than Ortofon's 3.0g. Something to think about when spinning valuable records. They are both spherical so they sit in groove the same, which affects sound quality and groove wear.

warmer is not the right word. ortofon dj is like listening music on your smartphone speaker and taruya is like a big soundsystem. not even comparable
