My daughter is currently in braces. I just took my son in to see when he would be needing them and our orthodontist actually said he wouldn’t be needing them at all. Consultations are free. Always get an experts opinion. Most orthodontist offer payment plans that make braces very affordable and some even offer discounts when you have more than one family member in braces (always worth checking). Your teeth are too important.. make sure you have someone watching over them every step of the way to make sure everything is going correctly and that you aren’t just being sold a product.

Pleeease insist that your daughter wears her retainer when the time comes. I didn't. I gotta pay for my own braces now, if I want to fix em again. I feel horrible for knowing how much my mom paid for my braces and then I just....kinda threw that gift away :/

Same my first set of braces cost $10000 and had a other set later on for $4000...its crazy, I don't blame people for using the at home aligners

Byte makes sure that your a candidate for the aligners before you start treatment & requires photos to make sure your teeth are shifting correctly, they also have certified orthodontists working there. My teeth are completely straight now after 3 months because of byte since I didn’t feel like having to deal with going to a local orthodontist & paying & waiting for appointments when I literally could do it all online & get the same results without the inconveniences of going in person

There is no 1 size fits all solution to orthodontic care. For more advanced movement and bite correction at home aligners aren’t suitable.

Pick your battles, I’d rather get on a payment plan under medical advice/care than wing it off KZread vlogs and a manual. I typically do agree, we are taking out of their pocket, but this isn’t worth it the headache of ruining your teeth, without medical direction.

I got smile direct club. Best money I've spent. You do have an orthodontist you can contact if needed. And I kept up with my dentist as well.

Into my third trey of smile direct club aligners thinking I will be the one who finishes with perfect straight teeth and the same great bite. Lol

I dunno my teeth are straight now and healthy soooooooooo thankz smile direct club ;')

honestly it was okay, there was a few snags; i had to redo the aligner impressions because on the 2nd week i noticed the aligner wasnt fitting properly so i did that again and it went well until about week 9 (I have 12 weeks) so I just waited about 3 days for my teeth to shift back and then I switched to the pervious ones which ended up working better to prevent this id recommend waiting an extra week or just going in person other than that it went great

I feel like this is true if you have a lot of issues to fix, but if you just want some straighter teeth- aligners are so much more cost efficient than braces. My sis got them to fix her front teeth to be more straight & she looks great/ had absolutely no issues. Braces done at an orthodontist are absolutely astronomical. So if you have teeth that are in generally good condition & just need to fix a few crooked teeth then please save your money & get something like Smile Direct (highly recommend!).

I used the Byte aligners for my overbite and gaps. Everything turned out wonderfully and I’m so grateful it worked out. All I have to say is to do your research and weigh out the different possibilities. I’m perfectly happy with my results and am so happy I chose Byte.

We had a great experience with Smile Direct. My husband always wished he had braces as a kid but as an adult braces are a little weird. Smile Direct got his teeth straight in less than a year. They are still straight 2 years later.

I had braces. Lost my aligner not long after, I was upset. They're so expensive. So I went a few years without them. Recently I just finished BYTE & I can honestly my teeth look great. I'm happy with the result. I'm happy healthy and have a great smile, so it wasn't a waste of money to me. ☺️

If you have very minor misalignment, then at home aligners may suffice, but it's always best to consult an orthodontist to make sure your teeth don't require more than what they can actually handle.

I'm glad I went with invisalign now when I was looking for clear braces. Found that one of my teeth was actually infected at the root. It was only discovered through an xray and it's a byproduct from my bike accident

I got scanned for smile direct club 6 years ago and I met with a young girl who couldn’t answer many of my questions. The progression that I got left gaps in other places and my open bite wouldn’t have been closed. I immediately canceled and so glad I did. I Instead got braces for 18 months and I’m so happy with my teeth.

I really wish that these videos did not exist. I used smile direct club and I am extremely happy with my results. I had a very large gap in my front teeth and now it’s completely closed and I am beyond satisfied not only with the results but with also the ease of the entire process. The major reason I went with Smile Direct Club was because I was quoted $8000 plus through my dentist, or to get veneers, where as with Smile Direct Club I paid a little over $2000 and I saw results within six months. Also they do recommend we see our dentist before seeing them to make sure our teeth are healthy for movement. It also falls on the responsibility of the person looking to straighten their teeth to be responsible and follow the instructions given.

I guess I’m going to use my bicycle and try to ride it😂

The bentist is like the cool dentist out of all of them 😂.

Watching with my at home aligners. I went to the dentist and was a candidate for braces and my teeth barely need adjustment… I think this is great.

The biggest waste of money is probably most of the school supplies that they ask you to bring to school because you literally end up using like none of them and they provide most of the stuff already

Yes, smile direct is an at home aligner. Anything where you don’t go and see a dentist or an orthodontist will be considered an “at home”, and will be high risk. Tbh, it’s like paying a professional tattoo artist vs stabbing yourself with a pen and some ink… talk to your dentist/ orthodontist about payment plans or options, look into getting insurance if you can, or wait and save up. You only get one set of teeth 🤷🏻‍♀️

Already had braces and minor crowding after losing retainers. My bite was already fixed so take home cheap aligners did the trick for me. If you’ve had braces in the past then take home cheaper aligners aren’t all that bad. If you have a bad bite or chopped teeth you might wanna stay away though cus the aligners could crack your teeth

Ngl i loved my invisalign still wear the retainers at night- like I'm supposed to- and teeth have been perfect!
