I never grew up with Orson Wells, but in school I watched his movies in English class in high school. Orson Wells was an artist, visionary, and a genius.

The battle hymn of the republic still brings tears to my eyes after 77 years. I remember sing this song in grade school and It brought tears to my eyes then. There are a small group of people in this wonderful country who hate this country, and want to tear it down. But you don't see these same people leaving and going else where. If this country is so bad how come there are millions of people wanting to come here to become American citizens. My advice to those who say they hate my country, I say to you shut up sit down become a better citizen, or get the hell out of my country.

I'm an Australian and this moves me. What have we lost over the years? There is nothing like this now. No love for country, no love for who we are. Just division, hatred for who we are. Western society hates itself and is no longer proud of what it once achieved. It believes that in order to be stronger it must dilute what makes it great. We must now be ashamed of our roots, and hate ourselves and all that we've achieved. Our enemies don't think like that. They are proud of what they've achieved. They don't hate themselves. They hate us. People who have dragged this world into the modern era, through science and thought, unfettered by ideology or religious extremism. Yet these are the countries that hate us most and try their utmost to destroy us. And when they say we are unfair and racist and every sort of "phobic" we are expected to feel embarrassed and guilty. But they don't want to go back to the countries they came from because if they say those things there they could indeed risk their lives. Quite the conundrum, wouldn't you say? We give them the freedom to destroy us from within. The freedom they never had in the country they came from in most instances. And if they are native-born and hold these views, they are useful idiots who will never realise how they have been used. This needs to stop. Be proud of who we are. Stand up, stop being silent. Our silence allows our destruction.

part of freedom is the freedom to point out where the shining beacon on the hill is lacking. i love my country for certain, or more accurately i love my fellow countrymen. the country is merely an apparatus for improving the lives of the humans that live here. when it fails to live up to that standard, it is well within my rights to point that out. the first amendment says that i may peacefully petition the government for redress of wrongs. what western culture has achieved it has achieved through a mixed bag. we wouldn't have modern dentistry without certain people experimenting on those they considered lesser humans. you can hate the vile actions even if the consequence was something grand. NASA wouldn't exist without project paperclip. without the war crime of using the atom bomb, japan might have fought to the last remaining man and woman. as for enemies, how well do you know those places? when america invaded afghanistan, it didn't take long to develop local operatives willing to fight against their country's rulers. that says they hated what their country was, and wanted to change it. when a person is being racist or phobic, yes, you should feel bad. why does it surprise you that predetermined bigotry is not a valid way of judging a human? immigrants are more law abiding than natives. studies show this. immigration does not destroy, it creates. i am proud of who I am, my own choices, my own life. why take pride in the accident of where i was born? we are all human.

I was in the Navy, I've listened to this video several times, each time it brings tears to my eyes as to how far this nation has sunk. We need patriots to stand up and support morality, stop the pushing of imoral indoctrination in the schools, and get corupt politicians out of Government. There is much to do to get this nation back on track. We have an upcomming election, I would like to encourage every U.S. Citizen to vote, it is our duty as a member of this republic. As I've said many times, if you don't vote, you have no place complaining about the Government, because voting is the mechanism the founders of our nation put into place for the citizens to control Government..

Give me someone worth voting for. Till then, I'll complain all I want to. It's not like they've given us any real options. It's all a sham and anyone who votes for these corrupt politicians is just as guilty as they are. Edit: Before you go all patriotic on me, I served in OIF.

@@josiahhockenberry9846 Yes, I have heard of Operation Iraqi Freedom, however I have never heard of it referred to as OIF. Although I worked for the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General, Defense Criminal Investigative Service, from 1989 to 2001, and so I know that all of DoD uses untold numbers of acronyms, and therefore it is imperative to introduce acronyms by defining the meaning in the beginning of your written product, so that everyone that reads it has a better understanding of what you are trying to communicate. But of course as a Special Agent, I was trained to communicate in writing, in a manner that is clear and avoids misunderstandings of what I am stating, as there are people relying on what I stated to make determinations of whether or not to criminally prosecute subjects of my investigations, or pursue civil or administrative recourse on behalf of the government. In doing so, it was incumbent on me to provide clear communications to avoid undeserved prosecutions of people without solid evidence of guilt. My subjects included government contractors, government employees, as well as military personnel. I appreciate your service in the military, and I would hope that you believed that I would give you that consideration, should you have been a subject in one of my investigations.

Do you really not know our votes don't choose the President? The government overturns our votes in court for local decisions. Voting doesn't make a difference.
