I own the Oris Aquis 39.5 with blue dial and tungsten bezel. It runs +1 second / 24 hours. Love it :-)

Good stuff Karl. Great to hear. Oris are a brilliant brand. Ben, L2L.
I think the Oris looks gorgeous,
It looks marvelous to me.
the movement to be honest is quite nice, it can be calibrated without any problems.
The comment around the bracket is spot on ! Having a quick release system for a aquis where it doesn’t fit any other after market strap Without a quick release in the bracket of diver 65 where this is potentially a strap monster where you wish to mix and match different style, and with a single spring bar tool, it is not that easy to remove the bracelet Would prefer if diver 65 got the quick change instead of aquis

Great video guys! 👌🏻 I think integrated bracelets can be a pain if you like swapping out straps, but I’ve always wanted to get hands on with an Aquis

Thanks mate! Yes that's the issue with integrated bracelets and I am someone who does like changing the bracelet/strap around from time to time. Ben, L2L
Thanks for the feedbacks, i’m saving up for my first luxury watch. And this oris aquis, a longines hydroconquest, and a sinn 556 as my wildcard are my options and I still don’t know what to choose. Lol

What a great review! Thanks for sharing. I just wonder how you’re going to sell your Oris Aquis 39.5 at a good price if the issues of owning one have been spelt out.

Hey Lawrence, that's a very good point you make. Other than the Selitta movement being somewhat inconsistent, all other points raised do not detract from the fact that overall the Aquis is a very good watch. Thanks for stopping by. Ben, L2L.
hello. just a question: wrist size? ty 4 this content.
There is a guy on ebay that custom make leather strap for Oris proprietary type watches for for less than fifty bucks. I have the 43.5 GMT and other than running about 4 seconds slow (I'm going to get around to regulating it some day) it is a good machine. I like the screws fastening the bracelet on. I have lost two watches due to strap pins giving out.

@@lugtolug3788 I have an 8 inch wrist. He made a black leather band for my Aquis GMT no extra charge. I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. If it is good I'll buy a green one for my Oris Han Gang limited edition. I don't know what the rules are about posting his url on KZread. His name is leoni

@@chiane1968 I disagree. Most people don't dive with dive watches anyway. If the owner of the watch likes that look, more power to them
My Oris big crown propilot is shitty on accuracy as well, but I sort it out by not wearing it everyday. Thanks to the 38 hr power reserve, the watch stops running before it loses another 10~15 seconds IMAO......but I’m still an Oris fan though....

Hi Stephen, very good haha. I guess that's what we have to expect on a movement that has not been vigorously tested and regulated. All the best, Ben L2L.
Not another youtube Watch channel . Ho Hum . Good luck Boys .
In Germany you can get the watch for 1.4k euro? Do you think it's a good price for the watch or should I rather spend 2k on a tudor royal which I also really like? Great Video btw, you gained a new sub😊

It comes down to personal preference I suppose and what you're willing to spend on a watch. Ben - L2L.
I just bought a rubber strap for my 39.5mm aquis just a few hours ago lol

For people rotating through a watch collection and wearing a different watch every day or couple of days, how accurate does a movement have to be? I mean if it’s accurate to the minute within 24hours, do you even notice?
@lugtolug3788

That's a very good point. To be honest no, you don't notice it.
I had a good look at this watch and the Maurice Lacroix Aikon with black rubber strap hands on and chose the ML. The Oris bracelet felt very cheap I thought and dial very bland and logo too big on dial. The ML felt much better quality plus a few Hundred pound cheaper as it was on sale.

That's interesting to know Richard. The ML Aikon is undoubtedly a very nice watch and at a great price point. Thanks for tuning in! Ben, L2L.
Great video. For all the reasons you are selling the Aquis, the Christopher Ward trident pro 600 ticks those boxes. Have you tried one?

Hi Jamie. Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. In response to your question - No I haven't tried on that watch. In all honesty I've not tried on a Christopher Ward watch. It's a brand I do not know too much about. All the best, Ben L2L.

The Trident Pro 600 is a great watch, but just for info it uses the exact same Sellita SW200-1 movement as the Aquis.
I’m going to state the obvious, the diver 65 and the Aquis share the same movement. You mention that the Aquis was losing several seconds a day that still is very good and is much better then what Seiko advertises as excerptible.
Have not bought it myself because of the bracelet issue, only Oris straps will do
I traded my Aquis for a Seiko Spb143 with no regrets!

Thanks Huy, I'm glad you're enjoying the watch. Many happy Christmas returns.
So its not the watch, its a wearer. :) OK video, I recommend spending some extra money on microphone. Cheers.
yea man it's a fkin shame that oris doesn't bother to at least use a slightly higher grade movement in their base aquis (excluding the overpriced cal400), otherwise bang for buck it will completely dominates all sub $2500 divers. Even the much cheaper Hydroconquest keeps time better like a cosc piece
Please fix the audio. There is background noise and echo. Thanks!
I really want to like the Aquis. It seems to be such a capable and thoughtfully executed diver at a budget I can just about stretch to reach. But it just leaves me feeling a bit... Meh.
Personally not an Oris fan at all, the aquis never spoke to me.

Oris is overpriced imo. Base caliber SELLITA doe nearly 2k ? You're better off with sinn which use top grade SELLITA
