I would love to get my hands on some Orion hcca midrange! I heard you play the neo's last week and they sound amazing! I wish I could post pictures of my build on here but I'm doing my biggest build I've ever attempted. Just to try to give you a idea I'm running 8 midrange, 4 midbass, 4 tweeters and 4 15 inch subwoofers. Subs and as amps are Orion, would love to run the whole system Orion.

DEAFBONCE gets louder with lower power that's why haveing a bigger coil to handle more power and heavier moving parts isent always good , that's why Arnold's you can do a direct swap in to a factory car

not always. i had a issues in 2 of my cars because the magnet was so big it didn’t allow the window to roll down. simple fix though just made some 1.5 inch spacers.

It depends on what type of install you are planning. A lot of people think DB sounds better because it plays more frequencies, but if you have 8 tweeters and 8 mids you don’t need the DB’s. You can let the Orions kill the mids on high power with a dedicated amp.

The Orion have more bass that's why the Arnolds sound a bit higher but not that much clear. I would go with the Orion and add a good tweeter with it.

WOW HOW BIG IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM!!! ARNOLDS IS MUUUUUCH LOUDER!

Close battle here. I think it would come down to what sort of power output you plan on. It's definitely harder to find a full range amp that can push 400watts RMS per channel than it is to find one that can push 200. Also price increases as power goes up...for a quality amp that actually does rated power and does it cleanly. Personally, I'd run with the Deaf Bonce, cuz for 1, easier and cheaper to find an amp for them, and 2, cuz to me, they just sound better overall. Much more open and detailed sounding to my ears. I'm listening thru quality Audio Technica headphones thru a HiFi Quad Dac. I'd advise anyone installing either(or any speaker), to take your time and do a quality install. Sound deaden door panels around and behind the speaker. Secure them well...NOT with drywall screws like too many people are guilty of.(you know who you are.lol) Set your gains and crossovers properly and use a clean source signal. A speaker is only as good as it's install. I've seen $100 speakers outperform $1,000 speakers simply because of a better install on the cheaper speakers. I've always done my best to install as well as possible with whatever resources I have at the time and have traditionally had better sounding systems than many people who spent way more on gear, but did a poor install. Keep the good vids coming!

Orion sounds more natural deaf bounce sounds high pitch the Orion’s sounds like you would get more of a real sound I love when my Vocals sound more natural and has a little metal base in it versus being high-pitched like it has a whole bunch of trouble

What about b2 audio? Against the best...... also I'm looking into buy 4 speakers. What top 3 speakers do you recommend personally?

Ya man the Orion’s sound overall better to me. The Deaf Bonce are so bright and I can’t hear any real mids from them. They sound like low tweeters or something. Very odd because they have that monster magnet, but no thump. I need to hear them in person I guess

Orions sound a ton more natural. Def bonce are way too high pitched. But the orions are nowhere to be found. If anyone knows where to buy please link it

A lot of people are tuning their boxes much lower these days so there has to be something to catch between the low lows in the mid-range hence mid-bass

I feel like the DB would start to peak only by them already being loud and bright from the start. They kind of remind me of the timpano I had but I’d go with the Orion’s. I just switched my whole build to Orion’s lol

if you want to test mid bass I would go with the W80 deafbonce, they are discontinued now aas a new one is coming mid year but the w80 was the mid bass driver for the last 3 years

In my opinion the 2 ARNOLDS in the factory area because they gotta more high pitch to them so i think they will make the sound travel even in the factory area and the ORIONS some other part of the door and the same for the back doors if u have back doors and ur tweets and 6.9s do something else with those but i think they both sound pretty damn good for the price 💯👍🏼👍🏼 [✌🏽💪🏽🔈✌🏽💪🏽🔉✌🏽💪🏽🔊]

I would run the Orion with the crossover set for more bass and run a Orion tweeter with it

I would install the Orion's in the front doors & the Arnold's on the back doors.. I think it'll be perfect with a subwoofer

I would pick the Orion over the DB. If you want a better sounding mids and highs you gotta go with Orion, yes DB gets louder cuz it plays higher but all you would have to do is add a tweeter to the Orion and boom, it's as loud as the DB. So if you put Orion with a tweeter in 1 door and the DB with a tweeter in the other door, which door is gonna sound better? The Orion because the frequency range is wider.

I have a pair of Orion xtr 8 inch mid bass and a pair of Orion hcca mid bass and they sound the same , but the hcca handle about twice the power and are half the weight, the hcca have neodymium magnets and the xtr have much larger ferrite magnets, I think the hcca has a higher temperature glue on the voice coil, these are the loudest mids that I have ever owned and I have been into car audio since 1992,and have owned hundreds of speakers

Orion’s definitely sound all around better. A dsp will flatten some of the harshness from the Arnold’s. Which are the winner simply because you can actually by them still. Orion’s products have been slow to hit lately especially after good reviews

Orion is deff best for mid lows but I feel this compare video doesnt seem to be fair. Whats the freq response ranges on both speakers

I was surprised with Arnold very good for the price but when you put power too it.. it sounds greats but to the train ear... you hear it's a bit distorted so a regular set up would be great but the orion shines with power

do they fit door speakers?

the orion is mid bass the arnold is clearly a mid range not really comparable

Orion speakers provide bold sound suitable for shows. While the competitor speakers.give a smooth sound.

Through my headphones the Orion sound far more natural..the Arnold's sound far to bright.

Watch till the end. At full volume they're a lot more clear and round out that sharpness. In the beginning they sounded a little tinny but once the volume is up it's clear. They're meant to play loud anyways they're p.a. speakers.

How can the Orion be midbass if the frequency cutoff is 230hz - 9khz? Is this just incorrect from Orion?

Anyone else have some Arnold's tuned with a DSP? I have my low end set to 350hz and have my high up to 12000hz after I break them in I do plan on sending almost max RMS ratings to them. I just want to be safe as possible considering the power and I'm pretty sure I'm ok on the low end but not sure if 2 high of a frequency will damage it as well.

What type of amp needed for 4 orions like those?

I want to see the comparison between they are ORyan and the ground zero red basket 6.5

Arnold is impressive with little watts but ..ORION Wins cause they take much more power They become more loud at higher volume then much better bass And highs are great.

Orion sounds way better, the other one is way too bright, and you don't want that let that to the mid highs, that Arnold is not definitely not for midbass.. that's my opinion

Both are good but the Orion sounds more clearer. The Arnold has more background noise, that high pitch static shhhhhh sound that you don't hear as much in the Orion.

I cannot find any Orion competition mid's and midbass speakers anywhere bro!

PLEAAASE MAKE A REVIEW OF THE DB MACHETE LW654A. Even it.s a mid.bass not a mid.range. As i know is one of the few pro 6.5" bass speakers. Would be a great pair with one mid.range that you present in the videos. Orion is much more detail revealing in the begining. And also a lot pleasenr for the ears. Mid.range doesn.t mean high.range. Tweeters should not miss from a system. You really convinced me with the PRV and Orion. Now i don't know which will be best for me..mm hm

that orion is clean mid sounds with thump but Arnold clean mids n high not much thump. both can't complain excellent made depending if you want little bass or not. I would choose Arnold because I only need clear sound with subwoofer in back already for bass

DB sounds really good, but the Orion sounds more full range. If you don’t have a lot of power or just swapping out factory speakers, I would go with the DB, but if you have serious power, go with the Orion

Both are absoloutely killer speakers. It's too bad the Orion isn't available, even when this video uploaded, they were always sold out everywhere. Maybe should've bought 'em when I had the chance.
