Love the videos, but as a suggestion you should do a 5/10 second sample of the same song on repeat per speaker. That would be a much better comparison!! Keep the vids coming

Hello brother just wanted to tell you love the videos please keep them coming but as a suggestion to help everybody keep up with you I think it would be nice if you had a large white dry erase board behind you with the name of the speaker and then your checklist of what's good and bad at the end of your video you could give your reasons on why you think one is better than the other.

Really appreciate you doing these tests I know you will not to be able to do all brands but other big names in mid-range speakers are SP Audio, McLaren, DD Audio, Sundown Vex Series, Alphard Audio Hannibal and Avatar Series would love see these compared as well.....

Orion killing it. Pretty much best all around sound quality and power handling. The only trade off is they are so big.

Great video. I like the direction you are going but i do suggest you grab your favorite set of tweeters and cross over the highs so you focus more on only the midrange sound when comparing mids. Just listening to raw speakers is tough and is naturally going to lead you to liking a midrange that gives you higher frequencies as your ear is going to be missing something that these speakers are not designed for. Good video though. Keep them coming.

These videos are very helpful to those who are appreciative and understand. A huge thumbs up. And I would like to say that each of those speakers would have different applications. The pro audio line sound like they have a flatter response and can play lower but can't play too high. These pair best with compression drivers. The deaf and orion got much higher responses so they go well with tweeters and the PRV is somewhere in the middle. With each choice there is a trade off This way people can pick based on use.

I love your reviews the only thing that bugs me is the actual speakers you test in your videos are all mixed up with similar speakers in your links . just give us the names in writing/links of the actual speakers your testing and not 3 or 4 xs similar type speakers listed . it would be a lot easier to follow if you specifically listed each speaker used in your video test and skip listing similar type speakers.

The arnolds really shine on a dsp with both a high and low pass cutoff paired with a midbass. Also that power rating is conservative if you do this because you're focusing all the power into a narrow bandwidth so you can push them much much harder.

Eminence are Good Speakers and will beat a lot of those 6'' speakers with right power and setting to play it and with a good driver to go with it bro.

For sq and loudness yes.

What I noticed is tonal difference between Orion, Apocalypse, Eminence...which one is the most accurate? Hard to tell with the mic and also without the proper crossover. Also this type of music is very bad for determining tonal accuracy. lol I wonder if car audio enthusiast really even care about accuracy like as in home audio. If you search my videos and find one called Kenwood KRC 777R for example, listen to that one. You can feel like the voice is so natural like he's sitting in the car and singing and you're recording next to him. This is what I want to find in those speakers you present. But that type of sampling music is just all bass and treble so its too hard to determine when anyone is looking for speakers to play some music that isn't "club" style. Just my input about it.

I thought that the eminence sounded smooth because it had more depth ???

It sounded like it had smooth midbass to me but very lacking in the higher mid-range. I could see those being part of a 3 way component setup. Those for the midbass, another speaker for higher mid-range, and a tweeter. Of course if a 3 way is your goal, there's many better choices than Eminence.

I'm have a Beyma 6g40nd 8ohms and PRV 6mr500 NDY 8 ohms PRV is more clear .

Mids aren't meant to play highs so the bright sounding drivers sound shrill with less depth and Orion dont make their own drivers apart from the hcca subs so they're not that great , in fact I have owned and own Orion subs and I'm not amazed by them ...they do take a tone of power but they're very unresponsive and miss alot of notes...I'm just saying...great video though 👌

This correct but also incorrect. In the past with typical speaker design this would be more true. However, if you look at the specs, the Arnold's frequency response is 100 - 14000 Hz right up into tweeter territory. In this case, these mids do and can play highs. To take it a step further the Down4Sound D4S 65s play up to 18,000

Paulius Visockas i assure you my freind deafbonce does not lie about its specs. I have four arnold v1s, two currently in use but stepping over to a set of mm-60s ,arnolds loooove power i had a set on 400w rms in an hhr at one point it was rediculous for two speakers.

@@Mr.NpK143 lol yes because I build bespoke speakers for my customers and I use all sorts of drivers in various enclosures and I currently have an Orion hcca 15.2 and it's not that great compared to other drivers that I own and have owned its ridiculously inefficient and is a little bit of a one note wonder but I like to thrash every now and again lol hence why I think they're crap 😊

Watched majority of your videos but you should record the audio with a professional microphone (they are not expensive at all). These comparisons are kind of useful, better if you listen on audio system with a sub so that you actually hear all the notes. What i don't understand from your videos why would you want a MID-RANGE speaker to play like a Tweeter? For better sound stage and notes reproduction, every type of speaker should do it's own frequencies. It wouldn't be bad to play SOME high frequencies like 4k to 6/8K max, but that's it. On the other hand, it wouldn't be wrong to play a little bass, around 60/80HZ for a better sound quality, warmer sound. Otherwise they sound TOO STERILE. For example in the video, PRV sound very good for a mid-range and in my opinion i would chose these over the rest (probably would not add a mid-bass speaker but only a SUB), Orion sounds very clear (due to highs and probably build quality) and definetly needs another mid-bass speaker besides the SUB, Eminence sounds good also with a good reproduction of the low-mids, not really agree with you. In a system you will definetly come with a tweeter for extra clarity and high notes. Beside these 3 speakers the rest lack definition and details. In fact only PRV and Orion have definition and detail Most of the mid-range speakers have that tunnel/horn sound which is not so pleasent to listen. Even Pioneer i see they have that tunnel/horn sound. This type of sound reproduction is not pleasent. A good sounding audio system should be WARM and pleasent to listen. That's why you like the Infinity. Not a STERILE sound. You should add to your comparison the VIBE and EDGE speakers. Really curious about how they sound in comparison with these.

your basically comparing speakers with completely different frequency responses. you need to mount them properly on an open baffle outside and take proper measurements to see how they really behave.

theyre not all 4 ohm speakers . are you reviewing them for car audio or home , its not too clear.

It’s not a high, it’s a mid, the proccesor compensate that and the speaker is not going to sound at that cut on the real scene i don’t fall in that.
