My OC's include: A noise marine that doesn't stop at just skinning people, he makes warped sculptures from their bones and organs while using their skin to make leather stuff like purses and belts, also the normal noise marine sonic weapons weren't strong enough so he modified his to be even more disgustingly powerful A fucking Grey Knight who somehow fell to Khorne An evil sorcerer who sacrificed almost all of his body to Eldritch gods in return for power The literal incarnation of war itself as guy will come back even if he's killed, has almost unbeatable martial prowess with any weapon, and can so e an army of any warriors from any point in history A fascist and Machiavellian Italian mobster obsessed with Dante's Inferno who has complete power over space itself, and his gang who also have supernatural powers An Eldritch god who was the progenitor of every single deity in the world, *and the fucking universe itself is his body*

My OC, in terms of meta, would try to stop me from making any more changes to his current design in order for him to feel more natural and consistent. And in terms of character, he'd just be an idiot, probably an okay guy, yet wouldn't care much about anything in the real world since he only knows much of little.

It feels strange always hearing people make these kinds of OCs when they were kids or teens, like half-angel and half-demon characters, edgy characters, but when I was a kid and teenager my OC was, and still is, a stick figure. The same stick figure I named Noble which I named after his heroic and calm nature towards weird shit I put him up against. Like, I'm am an artist and have been for a long time, but making those types of characters even when I was little never crossed my mind. I can probably thank the Kirby franchise for my love of overly simplistic designs as opposed to incredibly complex and overly colorful designs.

Its about the person you are underneath and why you make an "OC" to begin with. Different people make different things. Its like how in videogames people make abominations but others make perfect people or boys they like. Dnd characters being trauma dumps is the same too. Your creations are an extension of you. So who you are decides what kind of creation you make. Half angels for instance typically got influenced by certain religions growing up but can also just be liking the aesthetic of flying person better than everyone else.

If I ever become a famous artist and get visited by a long-forgotten OC That bloke is getting a redesign next thing tomorrow

I thought this would be a jab at abstract art and the punchline would be that he just aimlessly added paint, but this is soooooo much better.

Ethedis and Celeair would be too sweet to hate me for what I did to them, but they *would* have an existential crisis at the realization that all their trauma was orchestrated by an edgy teen working through some things. somehow that almost seems worse

@@TwiliPaladin Tossdir would hate me for killing his parents, making him the younger brother of a character I *knew* was also going to die, and worst of all, for naming him Tossdir (which is elvish for Shrub Man. he's never going to live this down)

My OC was a five eyed blue dragon boy with tousled brown hair that turned into a six-armed werewolf with green hair (technically I called it a “Unigom” but it was a werewolf with six arms that were all different stuff). His name was Ben and he ate people.

My OC’s were a large variety of mutants and if they came to life and found me they’d eat me alive.

If my original characters knew I was the one who caused their creation and everything, yeah, they experienced they would’ve barbarically killed me by now

All things great must come from somewhere.

Better to have been "Cringe" with OCs that speak to your soul like that and feel genuine in a wholesome way, than pretentious stuff which is so afraid to be considered "childish".

When I was a kid, my go to art was drawing robot men. The lore behind them is that they were robots powered by Solar panels and harnessing the sun's energy to function. The people that built them are frail humans "unworthy" of seeing the sunlight, and never really drawn other than to operate the machines that would spawn other machines... And so happen to be little stick men. Their society worshipped the sun as a god, because it gave their society power and strength. One day, during a stick war with my friends where my robots were losing in a 3 v 1 scenario (as I had friends whom formed their own made-up stick people fractions), down descends their society's creator... Starman! Who is a man in the shape of a star with a star wand and a star sword... And I think he had a tophat too. Anyways, it was revealed that he is a cosmic being capable of controlling the stars and that these people are his property. He was always open for navigation on how to handle his property, so long as the other tribes stood down and stopped trying to destroy his creations... But they never went that route and almost always tried to immediately kill star man. Well, that is when he unleashed his ultimate attack... "Sun come down!" And he merges the closest star with the planet/battlefield, immediately vaporizering any whome opposed him... Because as it was stated, he controls stars... That's literally his entire gimmick. There was only a handful of times where things actually ended on peaceful terms when he shows up, and it was when he gets what he wants and leaves with it. Starman is probably the most evil character I have created... And I've later even went on to make up an edgelord vampire, but at least he had human motives. Starman had no compassion, only saw what he wanted and was willing to feed everything to the stars to prove a point.

My ocs when I was younger weren’t that cringe but I was afraid of girls for some reason so they were all men and so now I get to draw all the anime girls I want and none of my friends can call me down bad

My first well-developed OC is the protagonist of my novel. (I had created hundreds of characters beforehand, but I forgot about most of them after 1-2 days and they all had little to no lore.) I created her when I was 15. From the start, I knew she was different because it took me 2 hours to create her (1 hour for character description and 1 hour to draw) instead of the usual 5-10 minutes. The 5th anniversary of her creation is coming up soon. Crazy… Oh, and funnily enough, I also happen to have a fictional girlfriend despite now being an adult. I fell in love with her when I was 16, created a self-insert to draw with her, and gave my self-insert in-universe lore over time. Luckily, she is a well-developed character from a webseries rather than a soulless OC. I do get cyberbullied for it, but I don’t find it embarrassing. I think the bullies are just jealous about how shamelessly I express myself. I used to be active on r/Waifuism (I even got added to a group chat for the most active members) but eventually left Reddit upon realizing what a cesspool it is (people in my waifu’s fandom in particular). Sorry for rambling. My point is, if I was in that artist’s position, I’d be psyched!

I still have such characters to this day. Dusk is the ten year old son of the Last Dragonborn. Half Khajiit, half succubus, he's as strong as he is cute. He calls himself the Next Dragonborn and has created a unique style of the Way of the Voice made for combat: Koejutsu, the Technique of the Voice. He's a high-ranking member of the Thieves Guild, where his codename is Dragon, a first-year at Uva Academy, and the advisor of the Federal Investigation Club Schale. In all three areas, he is known for his strength, attitude, and most of all, kindness. He practices CQC and shotokan karate and uses a handgun and katana.

ngl as a kid I never really made these kinds of ocs, I dealt more in hooded creatures that tried to hide their abnormality from the world (idk why I did this, ask younger me) as well as just strange creatures in general, I specifically remember drawing some card art (most of what I made back then was just card games me and my cousin would play) of a fish man thing's reanimated skeleton wielding a gatling gun that somehow functioned flawlessly underwater

I just remembered my old ocs. Idk their names anymore but what I do know is that they have "San" "Chan" or "Kun" in it💀💀
