Maybe somehow, realizing that he accidentally might've chosen the right side of things. I'm no chaos fan, but at least they somewhat enjoy their lives a little more often than not they like what they do. In the imperium, it's depression with a side of pure hatred, a pinch of paranoia, and a whole whopping peak of misery for dessert. I mean, even someone as high up as Gilman get the shit end of the stick he's just a tool for the Emperor, he cares about humanity, but there are a bunch of paranoid, religious fanatics. They don't treat him like a person or a leader but more like some sort of demigod , and I mean in the worshiping way, not in the impressed way, he's barely holding the rotting corpse of the imperium together. Aliens are attacking everywhere. Chaos is being chaos. Even for someone like Gilman, everything sucks in the Imperium. EVERYTHING!!!

i mean considering the imperium lost its major leaders after the horus heresy and has assaulted on all fronts for 10,000 years, the imperium honestly is doing better than most human civilizations. most societies in the real world end up falling into decadence and twisting political systems in our actual human history so the imperium managing to last as long as it has without collasping honestly is a pretty good sign that people have genuinely been trying.

Head canon for me is that he is also invading Fulgrim's personal pleasure planet, a place where most people, including most of the Emperor's Children themselves, have no idea where it is. The man really wants to go back into stasis.

Giving the fact that this is Fulgrim, I am pretty sure he will try to replace Gulliman for a week to see what kind of overworking stimulant his brother has been subjected to.

The guy 's obssession with perfection can make the current Imperium more orderly than what Conrad could do.

It really makes me wonder... Do Primarchs have their own HUGE custom made toilets? Like think about it. Just Guiliman alone would probably be heavy as a car and lets not even talk about Vulkan or Big E. They must be heavy as a tank.

Guliman's armor has special slots for that function. As he will litterally die if he ever take the armor off so yeah, that is a thing. The slots will need to be cleaned by his attendants periodly.

G-Man is so humble that even the act of appreciating him makes him physically ill. Despite this, he still casually walks around wreathed in precious gold and decadent hues of blue

Given how that would, depending on the state of the lore which is a mess cause any of the following to happen: 1. Kill the Emperor (he can regenerate so that isn’t too bad depending on how long that takes). 2. Trigger the dead man's switch attached to the Golden Throne which will blow up Terra and mess up the warp. 3. Presuming 2 fails, cause the wards keeping the demon infested web way doors closed to fail which means Terra will get invaded by an endless tide of demons along with the rest of the solar system. Which means we lose not just Holy Terra but Mars, our most important forge world. 4. The Astronomicon will go out, humanity's FTL becomes even worse to the point of borderline uselessness, and the entire Imperium dies. Granted, if Big E regenerates fast, he could just turn it back on provided 2 or 3 doesn't happen. That is probably a bad idea.
