Solid piece for those of us interested in getting into Orient. Great things (continue) to come from them!

Love how it changes colors ! I wanted blue, but this is a game changer. Getting this first.

Wow that bracelet brings it to another level. Hard to argue for San Martin etc when this is about the same price. Stunning watch for the price In-house is super impressive too. though servicing/replacing seems not really an option which makes it long-term disposable unfortunately

Great review of a wonderful watch! The Kamasu is at least in the heart of the fans, the spiritual successor of the SKX. Incredible but I'm doing the same review at the same time, I was just editing it tonight! The version on French has been out since yesterday. Like minds 😂

@@VicenteLlG the Jubilee is the bracelet, not the bezel. But yes, I've heard the same things about the bezel. It can be really hard to remove. You might want to use a clam knife or some other similar tool to help you remove it! Cheers!

I cannot decide between the Green or Blue, so im going to get them both. Thats the beauty of affordable watches! Nice video.

Good review. In my experience, the bezel does loosen up with use. I wouldn’t change a single thing about this watch.

This really is my favourite watch review channel on youtube. I subscribe to a lot of watch channels, but have realised that most of the watches that really click for me were ones I first saw on here.

A very nice watch, that's my favourite colour option. In terms of reviews, I'd love to see a bit more personality in these videos. I like seeing the watch but it's also nice to feel like I'm getting to know you a bit more too. This is something I think Jodi and Gary do pretty well.

Awesome watch, I have the red dial version. I fitted the kamasu long island bezel and a matt black bezel insert, and it's taken it to another level again. The original bracelet is ok at best, so put mine on a leather strap.

I agree they are great! I got one when they were released. My first "upgrade" after my snk seiko. Great lume and nice quality. Just the rotor wobble and thickness bugged me in the end. Nice review!

I have the jubilee bracelet on my Kamasu as well, and it's terrific. I had a hell of a time installing it though, to be honest, but once it was in it's so much better. Great fit too since the links are all articulated. I swapped out the clasp for a smaller one and that kind of balanced it out, I'm not too big a fan of the one that came with it although it's got more micro adjustments. I never have a Seiko SKX, but if they had put the crown at the 4 and increased it a bit, it would be comparable I'd think.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR Yeah, stamped clasp and hollow end links and rattle-y links...just not a good bracelet. I had it on a mesh until Strapcode came out with this specific one for the Kamasu. Now I think they have a beads of rice bracelet also that just came out.

Thanks for the video, its almost mandatory to upgrade the bracelet on the kamasu, personally I would opt for the Super O strapcode though

Depending on the lighting it can go from green to blue, to black. It's like three watches in one 😉

My only gripe with the Orient is the aluminium bezel and the small crown, the SKX bezel mod improves the look greatly IMO but you just can't get a green ceramic insert that's as nice a colour as the original that compliments the dial, the crown could do with being a mm or two bigger as well as it's fiddley to operate.

Long Island watches do a replacement bezel for the Kamasu now. it solves the problems and means a vast array of bezel inserts can be used.

@@michaelperry9261 It's true about the Kamasu bezel being difficult to get off, the Ray 2 bezel just falls off but the Kamasu is a real chore to remove.

I have my Kamasu on a Milanese but that looks God-like on a Jubilee 😱

Any cheaper options for a kamasu jubilee for those who cant afford the strapcode? Will the curved endlinks from aliexpress jubilee straps fit the kamasu?

You could pick up a 22mm Jubilee with straight endlinks from places other than Strapcode for reasonable prices.

@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR I’ve seen some on eBay and Amazon in the past. Even the ones Strapcode sell with straight endlinks are a little less expensive than their fitted endlink offerings. Strapcode are too expensive but they are very nice.

Not long after purchasing my kamasu, the crown came off loose when pulled out to set time. Is this common defect in Orient?

Sorry to hear that. I couldn't tell you, as this one in the review wasn't mine. It was loaned in by a subscriber. I've only just got mine.

This is a very well respected watch. I guess many see it as a reak SKX successor. The watch is also famous for its great lume. Maybe the crown is a little small and looks hard to grip. As for the colour, is it maybe teal? Good review video mate! 👍

This one wasn't actually mine, it was lent into the channel for review by a subscriber. I did end up buying a red dial one myself after this though. Check out my Instagram if you want to see that.

I know I'm color blind but if you showed me that watch I would call it blue. Nice watch though and I love the bracelet.

It's a really unusual dial. Depending on the lighting, it can go from green, to blue, to black.

watch looks great and wears great. The slippery crown and bezel were deal-breakers for me though.

They are slight negatives. I didn't have as much of a problem with the crown as the bezel though.

@@chimpninja2000 Oddly, most of their divers have six notches in the bezel that conveniently accommodate your thumb nail when turning.

With 20 or 21 lugs and a little bigger crown will be almost perfect.

20mm maybe, but not 21mm. I hate it when company's use 19mm or 21mm. That just means none of my straps fit.

Yeah definitely. It takes the watch to another level I think.

I had to buy a cronos submariner to realise how good the orient kamasu is. I find the original bracelet on the kamasu is fine. Not sure why some dis it. The lume is better on the kamasu also.

I'm very tempted to get one myself now. This bracelet is really nice. Obviously I can't really comment on the original one. But from what I know it has hollow end links and a pressed clasp. So this is definitely an upgrade.

The bracelet is OK, the pressed clasp and hollow end links mean it's not as premium as it could be but for the price paid it's decent enough, the Kamasu bracelet also fits the Mako and Rays perfectly as well as I upgraded my Kamasu bracelet and put the old one on a Ray 2 that came with the ridiculously long rubber dive strap from new.

Shame on you, what's that on your right wrist. You will go to hell. I also put an upgraded bracelet on my Kamasu, and it makes the watch feel so much better. Bezel action is a bit rubbish, and the crown is a little small, but an excellent watch for the money. It wears so well on the wrist

It's only a fitness tracker, not a smartwatch. I wear my watch on my left wrist. I don't have a watch on as I'm normally wearing the one I'm reviewing, so takes it off to do the review.

I’ve got this model. It’s okay. Not seeing why every man and his dog seems to rate it so highly. Bezel is incredibly tight and the crystal is really, really reflective. Nice handset and framed date window though. Threading seems rougher than a badgers arse too.
