Orhan - Turkish laminated Bow by Sergey Tolochko, from Sarmat Archery - Review

Orhan, a Turkish laminated Bow made by Sergey Tolochko.
We got it from our friends at Sarmat Archery. This bow is quite impressive.
Checks all the boxes you can have, leaves you just with a little vibration in the handle.
Have a look!

Out of all the Turkish bows you reviewed I like this one the most for some reason. 😁 That fairly straight shape when it's unstrung is probably the best option for a laminated bow. I think that's what makes it draw so nice.

Always good to see Sarmat on the channel, I only have one bow from them, but I love the hell out of that bow. Its amazing, great craftmanship. With Arrows to match as well. Beautiful arrows that fly amazing. The Orhan looks really good, Has a good sound. Great review as always Armin.

Such patience wrestling with knotted bubble wrap while sweating in the sun. Me? Pretty bow is launched from Malta Archery into Mediterranean Sea. ..ok, back to video. Edit...Ohhh I like this bow, would look really pretty in white I think. I want a new bow too, it's time. Thanks Armin!

Interesting point with the vibration. I ordered some wooden arrows from Sarmat for my 45lbs Şimşek and they are somewhere like over 11gpp.

Ah ha I have the sarmat Assyrian for 3 months. Something I have and you didn’t! But there is some raw and authentic quality to Sarmat bow. Hard to describe when comparing to other makers, Sarmat bow feels like am shooting an actual bow from ancients time rather than a modern reimagined asiatic bow; if that make any sense.

Another pretty Turkish Laminated bow! I like the looks of it better than the first one you tested years ago. Seems to perform quite nice for the money. I bet if you tweaked the brace height up just a little it would help with the vibration. Kudos to the Bowyer! And as you know a great review as always my friend. Thanks for what you do for your viewers!!!

Has anyone ordered a bow recently from AF Archery's website? I ask because I ordered two bows a week ago and they still haven't been put in the mail yet. No tracking number email. I emailed them on day 5 asking if they have been shipped yet or if they were behind and it would take a few days for them to get put in the mail. The next day I got an email saying that they would put them in the mail that day but still no tracking number email on day 7. Is this normal for them? It's starting to make me nervous because it was quite a bit of money on the two bows. If it's going to be delayed on getting to me they should just be honest and let me know.

I have one for a few years. I would not consider this bow as a Ottoman style bow, exept it's handle. Smooth, but loud, string is thin and i agre with Armin's opiion on string wound. If it get stolen or broke, i would not buy another one.

Another bow review.... don't get me wring, you really do great reviews, it is even some how entertaining to watch... but my in particularly I am loosing interest. I wish there were more videos on other topics in archery... I find myself rewatching your old videos. I still see you as a teacher and not as a bow reviewer. Are you still doing the classes for patrons? Does the old rules still apply or something has changed? to have a video analysed by you we pay at least 25$ a month, and 1 video per month? Thanks a lot and I hope it is ok to ask this here. if not I can delete this comment. Thanks

I just recently saw videos on back tension, nifty wooden arrows, knife throwing with Adam Celadin not to mention the weekly podcast of The Archer and The Bowman. I mean, I watch the old videos too when I have a question or need to tweak something and usually find the answer. When I took lessons online I sent 4 videos a month, works well, gave me time to practice Armin's suggestions before zeroing in on the next problem😂.
