While I respect organic dairy farmers, may I ask if drinking conventional milk at least better than drinking no milk at all?

I think you missed one major thing: PRICE. While organic milk is nice, it costs almost double the price of regular milk. . . . I think price should be a consideration for people when buying milk. Conventional Milk is currently $5 a gallon where I live (in 2024). Organic milk is almost $9 dollars a gallon. That's a very big jump.

What about all the shots that most diary and beef cattle are given ? How do the chemicals from that not end up in the milk or the beef ?

Talk about a bash Conventional milk video. There's enough anti milk propaganda out there. Sad to see it come from another farmer. Not all your information is accurate or could be very misleading....

Our intention is not to bash conventional milk, but rather provide information and education to the consumers. What we consume is ultimately up to each of us as individuals, but at least when equipped with knowledge we can make more informed buying decisions. However, we do believe that our food system needs to change, and that many agricultural practices are simply unsustainable long term - both for the farmers, who often barely make enough to stay in business, and for the environment. Does all conventional milk come from CAFO dairies and under poor conditions? No, and we mention that in the video. But unfortunately, much of it does. That's why we say to find a source you as the consumer trust. If there is a way we can communicate this more clearly, please do give us your thoughts. Would you be willing to share what information you found to be false or misleading? We always want to bring credible information in our videos, so your input would be very much appreciated.

@@dylanbarber9053 It's always our practice to research the subject before recording a video. This study published in Public Health Nutrition found residues of at least one antibiotic in most non-organic milk samples tested-and about a third of the non-organic samples contained residues of antibiotics that are illegal for use in dairy cows. In contrast, no antibiotic residue was detected in organic milk samples. Article: tinyurl.com/ysx6t7cj Study: tinyurl.com/2p96kny7 And another study on antibiotic residues in milk: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6760505/ Would you be able to point us to the source that rBST is not used anymore? From the research we have done, its use has declined (which is great!) but we haven't found any sources saying that it is illegal to use in the US. If we're wrong on this, please do let us know! The other hormones we were referring to include prostaglandin, gonadotropin releasing hormone and progesterone. They’re hormones naturally produced by the cow during reproduction, but are now injected into them at specific times for a more controlled reproduction result. Again, we are not trying to bash conventional milk, but provide education, and hopefully inspire change in our food system as a whole. We believe what we consume impacts our health, the environment, and so much more, and we want to be good stewards of the resources we have. So for us, that means encouraging people to be aware of what is in their food, shopping more locally, and practicing natural, regenerative agricultural practices. Are we a perfect example of this yet? Of course not, there's always ways we can improve our practices to be more sustainable and a better example - but that's the goal we are striving towards.

@@dylanbarber9053 Note the studies we cited above. It is not uncommon for antibiotic residues to be found in conventional milk sold in stores. It would have been more clear for us to word it slightly different in the video, and we will keep that in mind for future content. Thank you for your thoughts.
