Carol you should get one of those retro old time " weaved " " wicker creel baskets . And a cap that you put your favorite flys ( hooks ) on . Just to make it more fun , for you and to look and feel the part ? ( Not sure I'm saying that right ) ( for nostalgia ). And to help remember witch flys work best in your favorite spots . I haven't fly fished since I was a kid , so over 40 years but I loved it , mastering the cast is a lot of fun , it's all about putting it ( the fly ) wear you want it , exactly wear you want it , clear open streams or rivers are are fun and a good place to practice distance, but for me I had to go to small streams with lots of trees and other obstacles to learn to put it ( the fly ) wear I wanted it . Lost a lot of flys , even had to make super light weights because they are easier to make and cheaper and you don't care if you lose them . When you can make it ( the fly ) go to a log , in fast moving water , so it sinks right under part of the log , at that point you can do almost anything , and catch almost everything , especially if you see it , or know it went their . I gotta get out more , you two are a blessing for my life right now thank you .

I LOVE, LOVE Montana, BUT only in the summers! 😊I'm from AZ so I don't do cold well anymore, especially at my age. Interestingly, my older brother has lived in MT for over 30 years and has a wife and 4 adult children there! He LOVES the cold. My siblings in AZ always say he was adopted 😂(but he wasn't, we just like to tease him). I lived there for 2 years in my early 30's and one winter day the HIGH for that day was 40 BELOW! 🥶🥶That was the day I said 'Okay, time to move back to AZ!' MT in the summer is beautiful! I also LOVE CDA, ID, driving along the Snake River and parts of OR like Bend, Sisters, Redmond and Madris! My late husband was from Moscow, ID. The Shoshone-Bannock, the Shoshone-Paiute, the Coeur d'Alene, the Kootenai, and the Nez Perce are the 5 tribes in Idaho and Chief Joseph was Nez Perce now located in Lapwai, ID just south of Moscow. So much memories in this journey of yours for me 😊Thanks for sharing!

"A River Runs Through It" was one of my favorite movies and one of the reason my wife and explored portions of Montana. We still choose to live in Washington State for its beauty but we just got back from visiting Kootenai Falls in Montana. Love the state. Heading to McCall Idaho in October for the Fall Colors which is just down the road from Joseph, Idaho. Been to Baker City on my way to visit one of our granddaughters who lives in Emmett, Idaho. Excellent video!!

Enjoyed your video of MT, ID, WA, OR. Kicking ourselves as we didn't know you were at expo -: we're just down the road in Sunriver. We were traveling and got home last night, so didn't make it to expo today, but would have enjoyed visiting! And totally agree on the beauty of the Palouse in eastern WA, and all of that area this time of year with the green hills. Hope you got to see the bright yellow canola fields, too! We drove from Coeur d'Alene to Missoula last week, and further north on the return. Insanely beautiful. Hope expo was a success.

My friends, I have watched your family grow up and enjoy years of travel life. I wish I had done the same but I chose to operate a tree service for 30 years. On that note, please use safety glasses when cutting with your chain saw. It could save your vision someday. Also, tighten that chain as when it’s too loose it poses a risk of jumping off the bar. That could lead to backlash from the chain and a seriously cut body part. Please be careful and enjoy the outdoors.

I saw you on Sean's The Story Till Now, with a panel of maybe 10 speaking of youtube, content building, vehicles & travel - I believe in Bend OR. You are much more articulate & experienced than the bulk of that group. The setting, tone, solace, stories & beauty you share on your videos is a reminder you (both) are in a different 'reality' & world than most (not all) of the others. Keep it up, best to your collective family & safe travel.

In my wife's and my 43 years of RVing experience, we've found whenever refilling water from any source, you should thoroughly soak the source hydrant and all around area with sprayed rubbing alcohol and let it stand for 10 to 15 minutes before connecting up to a hose equipped with a sediment, charcoal and silver enfused ceramic filters. Always treat every water source as though it is highly dirty, tastes terrible and is infested with every known "hot trots" bug known to man? More time "out there" in the open than "in there" in an emergency room or longterm recovery medical facility?

Hear in the UK i am following you on a map. Found Idaho and snake river. . Though my map will not be as good as yours. Found Joseph. You talk about a days drive . In one day i can get from on end of the UK to the other I expect you can use river water for most things.
