Lol, it definitely is a pathetic looking salad, however Subway has a Calorie system, they need to keep the calorie count in their salads low, cheese will add calories FAST. Just one slice of provolone is 100 calories.

I can't believe someone would actually go to subway and pay for that.

After watching this video. I feel empty, I feel an overwhelming sense of nothingness. I just witnessed the worst salad in history be made. And somebody was happy to pay money for it. The abysmal shredding of the paper thin meat, two slices of cheese, that gave off a symbolic representation of depression, and a an entire head of lettuce to finish it off. I seriously feel like I need therapy right now.

Imagine you are at home and the only thing you have in the fridge are couple of slices of salami, one slice of cheese and a salad head. I would probably go to Subway and buy real food.

I ain’t never had that shit 😂…when it came to salads we’d literally grab the plastic containers for the salads ask what kind of salad they wanted, lettuce first then we’d grab the whole slice of meat/cheese put it on top then the veggies… we didn’t have a salad chopper or do this pizza cutter/bowl method he’s using… the owners of my store were honestly cheap as fuck and would find ways to cut corners

I don't know that I would get a salad at Subway. I do like how it's all chopped together, but IMO, while that type of lettuce works on a sandwich, in a salad, I would prefer bigger pieces of Iceberg or Romaine lettuce. Also, I know that the protocol is just one slice of cheese - the same as you would get on a 6 inch, but I think you need at least two slices of cheese for the salad. If I were to get a salad at Subway, I would have to get a lot of vegetables with it to make up for the type of lettuce.

Yeah, this is considered a "chopped salad." They sell these in bags at the grocery store in a kit. It's bizarre to me. I don't want to eat my salad with a freaking spoon!! It's a shame because their flavor combos, toppings, and dressing are sooo good. But why are you serving it as shredded lettuce?? That's not a salad. It's so off-putting and I just have given up with them.

I really love the scraping of the pizza cutter on the bowl. Gotta get the daily dose of micro plastics!

a lot of subways hate making chopped salads. it takes too much time. it's a lot of work for the sandwich artist. and a lot of times customers waiting behind will walk out because they don't have time to wait until the chopped salad is finished. sometimes people be getting two or three chopped salads. imagine that.

I worked at Subway and I hated making salads. We didn't have to chop the salad more than it was chopped already but cutting the meat was a pain in the ass because we didn't even have pizza cutters back then to do it passive-aggressively like this, we used the knife. It definitely took much more time than a sandwich and management put emphasis on making the salad look as much like the promo pictures as possible, so carefully placing every ingredient in it before sealing it up.

In my opinion, make a healthy meal at home will cost less money than buy it at any store. If u go to any food vendor, just buy anything which is huge, yummy and tasty. I always prepare my own daily healthy meal and save the fcking big sandwich for my cheat day :p

I remember a class trip way back in 2000, where the chaperone asked for salad at Subway. When they started making it with the shredded lettuce she haulted them and said "ew wait don't you have real lettuce?" They said "this is real?" She said no actual full size lettuce that isn't shredded confetti paper? They informed her that all the salads are made from the shredded lettuce. She told them never mind then and walked next door to the gas station and bought one of their pre-made salads.
