Vanessa, I usually prefer to eat in 'cause I do cook pretty well by myself although I'm divorced now. But I like to eat out, go to cafe or a restaurant from time to time. In general, it happens if I've got someone who I would've taken out to a lunch/a dinner.

It's something new to me to know that giving tip is a must in the U.S. because here in my country, servers are already paid well by the restaurant/cafe they are working at so most people don't usually tip, tip is considered as a bonus if you are satisfied with the food or the service

Great video! This seems to be exactly what we expect from such lessons. Such a scheme: a video example, then an explanation from Vanessa, then again a video example, then again an explanation - very convenient and interesting. Vanessa, we are waiting for new interesting videos in a new format! If it is difficult to shoot reports on the street, you can always ask Den - I think he will not refuse to play the role of a restaurant employee, or an employee of a bank, post office, store, or whatever you need :) You can just act out the scenes at home - just make some small decorations - and it will be OK ... Well done! We are waiting for new videos in new formats. Just don't forget to enable auto-subtitles.

Yes, the word "either" has two pronunciation and both are equally correct in American English. This is similar to the word "often." Some Americans pronounce the T and some don't pronounce it. Both ways are correct. 😊

Dear Vanessa, I don’t order food in a restaurant very often, because I live far from downtown. As an anecdote, when you hear a motorcicle’s horn a lot of times, in a neighborhood in Costa Rica, it’s because the “express boy” can’t find the house where they ordered food, and we begin to say inside our houses, as a joke: who ordered food?...who ordered food?

hello, I'm from france. Here the mask is compulsory everywhere outside since several weeks. And now, it is forbidden to go out except to work, you just can walk one hour around your home, pick up your child at school, doing some purchase necessary for food.... you must have a paper to show to the police, to go out if you don't work, otherwise you must have a certificate from your employer and.... so on. In sort, here this is locked down since yesterday and your house is your jail... but this summer was too "crazy" (I'm living near the beach) and now we have to pay this summer.... but I hope, december will be better. I don't talk to you about economy because it's a tragedy for small enterprises and shops.... I hope you can understand me... my english is so bad... I translate literally french in english and I know that's not a good idea....
