i go grocery shopping daily for fresh milk , fruits and what i have to cook for the meal of that day or the next one. Instead if i have to stock more food on a monthly basis , but lately every 2 or 3 months because we are consuming less. Yes , in our supermarkets there's a lot of junk food and treats near the counter for the check out, but in no one there are free fruits or samples for kids

Thank you! 😍 I like how you talk with your lovely kid. In the middle east where I live, stores are mostly local and owned by individuals. Customers reach only a couple of items they want but most of items needed to be asked from the seller on the other side of the counter! . So we talk more in our stores than the US!😃. For junk food you asked you are right I have a lot too in my country stores but again a part of items are more local or hand made. I remember for example the fruit layers kind of a solid layer concentrated of fruits such as prune very tasty made at home by people to sell. Again, thank you and I try the words pronunciation you introduced.

Hi Vanessa! It's so lovely to see you and your family in daily life, you are so careful and kind in your videos :) I'm a Brazilian, currently living in Utah and I learn a lot from your videos, now I am more confident to talk with natives and, also, do my groceries (when I arrived, eight months ago, I was afraid to speak to anyone). In Brazil, we also have the same junk food at the checkout, but here I feel that it's more! I try to avoid them too. Thank you for sharing this video, it's really helpful!
Thanks teacher👍👍👍
Just have to say "a great, big thank you" to Vanessa. Plz Vanessa makes more videos just like this one. It's so wonderful, it's truly learning in daily life. It's the best visual to learn effectively and easily, especially the words you noted on-screen in the yellow box.

hi, Vanessa. I'm from Taiwan. For answering your question, I go grocery shopping twice a week and there are a lot of snacks and junk food items at the checkout counter in all the grocery stores here too. They probably learned it from the United States. 🤔 I and my family often travel to the U.S. and we always need to rent a car at the airport when arrive there, so can you make a video about the car rental conversation in English? thanks! Love your videos a lot. 💌

Vanessa, this is the first time I watch a video where grocery shopping is done in real-time, from the time someone walks into the store until they leave. I can see the care and love with which you make your videos. In Mexico, we also have the same junk food at checkout counters. Kudos to the checkout lady for allowing you to film the final step of your purchases. Yes, I learned new things in this video thanks to the fact that it is explained in real-time. No wonder this video has so many hits in such a short time. God bless you and your family, especially during these hard times we are going through.

Hi Vanessa, I'm from Germany and really enjoy your videos on vocabulary, especially those about everyday items and situations. Thank you for doing this. In Germany we also have lots of candies in the check-out area. We often call this part of the store "Quengelzone", which roughly translates to 'whining zone' because this is where children often won't stop whining until they get what they want. 😂
